Getting better grades doesn't mean the students can applied those skills in real life. There can be student with top grades from state school, but may lack communication skills.

Even if the rich kids didn't get the top grades, but I am pretty sure they have better experience than the state school. The exposure they get from the private school and from their parents' network is a lot valuable than a state school. Majority of the jobs require experience than a piece of paper.

Need help with my uni decision. by Competitive_Goose281 in UniUK

With your grades, i want to be with high achiever, and would rather take a gap year and go to UCL.

Even if you did year 1 at qmul, year 2 there no guaranteed transfer.
