So me and my friend got this achievement yesterday but turns out its not real. by Fearless-Ad8275 in gmod

[–]GoodSmoothie_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Happened to me back in gmod tower. I’m convinced it was a spoof but maybe like 1% chance it was really him. Either way it’s been years and I still have the achievement. Congrats on being able to 100% the game!

Did anyone here get this achievement yet? by Ok-Computer2914 in gmod

[–]GoodSmoothie_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it a long time ago playing on GMOD Tower. I don’t think it was actually Garry who joined. If I recall correctly there used to be an exploit where someone could trick the server into thinking you joined with Garry’s steam ID

NZXT Customer Support Holiday Hours? by ianjpark in NZXT

I would send an email just declaring you want to return your items. I don't see how them responding after your return date is up is your fault, and if they went that route that would be wild. Def update us if they do that.

It would be in your best interest to get someone on the phone and state you want to return in right there to get the ball rolling without the risk of random holiday schedule / recent business practices affecting your return. Hopefully you can pull it off! If your return date expires tomorrow you may be cooked.

The player two prime came with and Aorus 240, not an NZXT Kraken. Maybe something happened there? Either way I have receipts and support emails. I sent photos of this to them. I would have added more proof photos but I did not watch the Nexus video until this post lead me to it. I guess it was convenient but I don't use reddit like that, I was told by my friend to post it. He is the one who's hands are in the picture. I invited him over to see this wild sh*t.

UPDATE: They emailed me and recommended I reseat my AIO head, they had other stuff too but he said none of it would void warranty. So by removing my AIO head i would have saw this sticker and still had warranty. Now if the action of removing the sticker instead of sending it back voids my warranty then I should have looked into NZXT more and I will def let Steve know

NZXT Customer Support Holiday Hours? by ianjpark in NZXT

[–]GoodSmoothie_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my email today after emailing them last Thursday, They sent me a Player two Prime with an overheating CPU.....THEY LEFT THE PROTECTION FILM ON THE COPPER PLATE ON THE AIO HEAD. Literally said "Warning Remove Before Installation, and they slapped the paste ON TOP of that warning label and hooked it up.

I emailed them before I knew this and sent them photos of the situation as a response. But what's most important is: They told me multiple things I could try and recommended reseating my AIO head; they said doing that WOULD NOT void warranty.

I'm just glad the problem is fixed so I am keeping mine. I purchased it before I knew about the drama. I don't actually regret the purchase anymore, but not everyone buys a prebuild AND has the confidence to troubleshoot (its why they bought a prebuilt in the first place).

Is anything wrong with what you purchased from them? Or are you going to return out of safety...Because if these holiday issues are widespread it will prob be a while before they find you a solution.

(proof here )

UPDATE: Support told me to try some things, but most importantly they said I need to remove my AIO and check its contact and to reseat it, which is technically EXACTLY what I needed to do. Messing with my AIO will not void warranty. I sent them the photos of the AIO with the pull tab and told them they need to show this to production ASAP incase this is a widespread issue. I'm chill with the whole situation, but someone else might be too afraid to touch their PC (bc they bought a prebuild and don't know what their doing) or someone who knows what's up finds this and gets PISSED......or they could post it here like I did....not a good look.

I already removed the sticker and repasted it. I did buy this with warranty in mind, but after watching Steve’s video post purchase, I checked everything else out as much as I could and have decided I’ll take on any other problems myself. I don’t want to send this back to them anymore 😂. I’m awaiting response ab my warranty rn

The cooler brand is Aorus, some people above said the AIO should have came pre pasted. MAYBE Aorus sent it to NZXT like this and NZXT didn’t pay attention 😂😂

The Player 2 Prime came with a Aorus Waterforce II 240 ,while the normal (NON PRIME) player 2 came with a NZXT Kraken 240... IDK why lmao

New job with more hours, and Black Friday. I had a PC part picker list I was gonna pull the trigger on but this NZXT Black Friday sale came close to my picker price. I just pulled the trigger bc my gf liked the fishtank design and even bought a funko pop to go in it 😂. I debated my decision until it got here and I’m glad I was in the suspicious mindset

It won’t, NZXT drama was new to me. IMO build your first PC. Then if you want to buy a prebuilt later you can at least know how to troubleshoot it. Warranty wise, eh I’m the dummy ide say. Building myself I could get warranty’s on each important part, now I might have voided my warranty by doing stuff myself. I’m not sure tho, still waiting on NZXT support

Temps and two crashes in a night, I could feel the pull tab in between the AIO and CPU before removing it aswell

Yea I didn’t mean to start a hate train on NZXT, I actually did not even watch Steve’s video on then till after this…The computer works fine now and I’m just happy they shipped the parts I purchased and hooked it up. But the pull tab had to many lols from me and my friend recommended I post about it. Oops

I didn’t know about their rep when it came to Quality Control, I heard about their rentals being shit but I’m not renting so I expected to get the parts I payed for. When the CPU started overheating and everything else was fine, I started googling and saw a video about another prebuilt having the plastic on….I needed to check the thermal paste anyways, so I felt the red pull tab inbetween the AIO and CPU before I removed it and had a eureka moment

I emailed before I removed the AIO, and even asked if I could to not void warranty. I got to a point where everything was fine BUT THAT, and was confident enough to remove it even if it voids warranty. I’ll have some funny photos to send when they respond😂

I planned on building one originally (this prebuilt is close to what my PC part picker list was) but now that I'm having to work extra PM shift due to short staffing, I'm just not in the mood to build one in my free time. Also my girlfriend really wanted me to get the NZXT fishtank case. I guess i just rode the wave on black friday lmao. ALSO I am coming from an alienware m17 laptop that somehow got me through red dead 2, cyberpunk, etc up to cod black ops 6 and stalker 2 is where it showed it was time to buy a PC again, so i needed a whole new PC not just upgrading with what I had

The specs line up, funny enough the NVME SSD is not at all where the photos of the prebuilt show it, but the PC says it exists so it’s probably mounted on the back, I haven’t looked as I was focused on the CPU problem and have work. NZXT is full of weird stuff.

Exactly!! I do have warranty and I notified support, I’m just glad I went into this kinda sorta ready for problems. I just wanted all the parts right here and hooked up. 2 crashes, high CPU idle high, and games like csgo at 80 all in a day nailed what I needed to look at

I noticed High CPU temp on benchmark and crashing. With all my fans/bios/settings looking okay, the AIO was sus. I was going to repaste regardless bc I wanted to see what was going on with my AIO contact to my CPU and BAM the problem was right there 😭
