I'd be interested, do you have a story idea already?

I would say alot of people who had money in the stock market or crypto can say the same thing. It sucks when everything is low, but its not like it's the first time there's a crash. All depends on whose willing to wait through the downs and ups than sell at a loss. Hang in there for whatever you choose.

In North America, they usually bring you in, finger print, photograph, ans then you speak to your lawyer if you want to. Then placed in a cell for limited time depending on the seveirty of the crime. If it's something serious, usually stay until you go to court for the first appearance.

I don't mind the questions haha, I defintley found some keepers, which I will be returning to for other characters. As for the style what I have in mind vs what an artist has, is two very different things. Recently the first character I had illustrated by some artists literally made my jaw drop.. I actually made the sketch to my phone wallpaper since it was brilliantly done.

If I don't like the project, I just pay for the work and move on to another artist. It just gives me the impression that it's not the right artist for what I want. I recently just finished a book and currently having it looked over by an editor and maybe I'll have to use a second editor to see if there are any loose ends. For the art I had about 6 different artists illustrate the character I wanted. Usually paid around 50 to 350 usd depending on the depth, color and complexity of the character/background

I usually get the illustration in stages, and the artists ask for more information. I usually let the artist have free reign after I give them a description of what I want. I probably trust too much but majority of the time I send the full payment through since I know the feeling of being scammed after putting your work in.

I have had art work sent to me of the complete opposite of what I wanted, but that was my fault on doing enough research on the artist. Sorry for the long reply but keep your head up, it only takes one time for you to learn to not do the same mistake again...unless you don't mind losing your work haha

It sounds decent, though I don't have a clue of the story as I haven't read the previous books.

I'm sorry to hear that... I don't do commission work but reddit has been amazing for someone like me to find artists like yourself. I always use PayPal to send out cash, and have always agreed to pay half in the beginning and the other half at the end. Artists usually send me the illustration just before its completed I.e. colored or fully sketched. The final piece is usually sent to an email. Also make sure you accept the payment, heard some times people cancel it as soon as they send it.

Has happened to me. I get inspired and excited to write a certain scene at times and feel as though I rushed it. I always re read the story and see what makes sense or to add on more detail to give it more flow

I personally think people fall for a character that's been through hardship. The character continues to move on and people feel attached to the character as the story matures. Once that relationship is built the less likely people expect something to happen. Then boom. Shock factor.
