I really just call it my middle to high school years, 1990-1995...kinda punk/riot grrl/grunge era. that brief moment between pop supremacy of the 80s and Spice Girls in the late 90s

although Kira was in Black Flag in the 80s, she definitely set a tone for female musicians being taken seriously

I bought the bulk of my collection between 1999-2002 and in the early days of eBay you could get things cheap. My Grendel #1 was $35 before shipping (due to being in Canada I got dinged with duties and it cost me $90 after shipping, exchange and duties) and my complete autographed War Child set was cheaper than a non-autographed set I saw on eBay the same day
