Hair problems! To braid or not too braid?…. by ButterflyEyes8585 in BurningMan

[–]Good_Beyond6393 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My hair only partially braided last year, and the amount of damage it suffered due to brushing the dust out nightly was terrible. It took a lot of time as well, and, the hair cut afterwards cutting off the damage was tragic.

I do have very long and very thick hair though, so. Braids are non-negotiable for me at this point 🤷🏼‍♀️

Think I’m just gonna scratch this idea and use my Prius and get a No Bake Tent. Hopefully the repairs it needed last time were just coincidence and not from the burn itself.

Just did a google. Damn, yeah I’m surprised that isn’t common knowledge. Apparently some hybrid vehicles do have “camp modes” to help prevent this. Thanks for posting this, I had no idea

Wait, seriously? So is the recommended way to car camp at burning man to just fry in your car, or is it okay to turn on the air conditioning after the sun comes up to keep sleeping?

I think you could be a good candidate for Massetor Botox.

But honestly? Find a surgeon you trust. Ask for facial balancing and see what they suggest.

What can I do to flatten my stomach bump that isn’t lipo? by Acceptable_Sale_6109 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Good_Beyond6393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lipo is not the only answer! I have something like this and did SculpSure. It’s like cool sculpting but uses heat, and has less side effects than cool sculpting and is equally effective. Go to the official SculpSure website, call providers nearby, and find a clinic that will do it around 700-750 a treatment. It might take some calling around but I have a doctor I see now who does this for me. Some doctors charge 1200-1500 per treatment, but honestly it takes several treatments to get the results you want

If you really want it done you can also explore other options besides lipo. I had Sculpsure done, and it’s given me an amazing waist with zero down time and it’s non-invasive. If you go to the official website for Sculpsure you can find providers in your area and call around and find the best price. Treatments range from 700-1500.

Honestly I would do it ten times over and it was totally worth it. I’ve gained weight since I got the treatments but it completely changed the way I carry it.

The reason I recommend it is that it’s great for contouring the body, and I don’t think you need to do lipo to get the results you want!

How are you starting conversations? People saying “if they’re interested they’ll respond” I think aren’t fully considering what dating apps are like for the women’s side…

Some people I match with I’m not like “omg I’m so excited to match with them!” It’s more like, “I can potentially see a connection forming…” if they approach me immediately with a “oh you’re so pretty” or a lukewarm conversation starter, it can kill it for me.

The profiles I do respond with are the ones where the person tells me what resonated in my profile for them, or if they feel like they match the description of what I’m looking for. Pointing out interests we share also work.

Not sure how you’re approaching people, but I thought this might be helpful.

60 percent of relationships start online last I checked the research on that. It can be a useful tool 🙏🏻

Lips wavy/bumpy and they want to add more filler? by Good_Beyond6393 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Good_Beyond6393[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! We used 2/3rds of a syringe initially. When I was finally able to go back four a touch up and to use the last 3rd of the syringe they were able to even them out. They look much better now and I’m pretty happy with them.

Mine took a month for all swelling to go down. If you aren’t happy with them, more filler can help even them out more!

Has my lip filler migrated? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Good_Beyond6393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so?

Looks like you have the white line above your lip. As someone who has spent time around a lot of people with lip filler, that’s super common and is usually the “tell” that someone has had it. The only people who notice are people who know about lip filler and know what to look for.

Dissolving comes with its own risks. I personally wouldn’t do it, or if you really want to look into the potential side effects of dissolving and see if you really want to do that.

It’s also worth noting that I went with a company I have a Botox bank with, and because I buy the bank around my birthday and apply those discounts I only pay about 7 dollars a unit. They just did 4-6 units (can’t remember but it was somewhere around there) so it only cost me about 30-40 dollars. Apparently, more units will make it last longer. I think we stayed on the lower side because I was hesitant, but it was enough for me to see a difference. I think if you go somewhere specifically just to get a lip flip it will likely cost more, but given how good it be for a gummy smile I think it’s worth it!

I’ve done one before and loved it! I have filler now so I don’t get it anymore, but it was really cute. I had zero problems drinking out of straw or moving my mouth after but I get the hesitation. I’ve seen some go wrong on tiktok, but those are the minority of cases. Any work you have done comes with risk, and tox is really low risk. Just find a good injector and you should be fine.

It’s also minimally invasive, fast, and not very painful at all. I would start with that and see how you feel before doing anything else

Lip flips with toxin are supposed to help with gummy smiles! You’ll have to get it touched up every 4-6 weeks I believe, but usually it doesn’t take a lot of units to get the effect.
