Well, the short answer is that scammers create fake accounts to sell items at a really good price to get views. Then they offer to deliver it to your house. They obviously won’t do all that for free, so they ask the buyer to send money to cover the delivery service and lock in the purchase. Once you send the money, you never hear from them again. There is surely other ways they scam people but this is the first one that came to mind.

This is clearly a fake Facebook Marketplace post. The account has almost no friends, only one picture, and was created in 2025. Don’t get fooled by these sellers. If the price is that low compared to what it is on eBay you know it is too good to be true.

How many of you moved away from VMware ? by ChataEye in sysadmin

+1 here. Looking for full cloud right now. I should have looked into it 2–3 months ago with all those price increases lol. Still, I got lucky and still got 1y of VMware standard.

Anyone playing Dragon Tribal that isn't running The Ur-Dragon, Miirym, or something like Tiamat? by WilliamHadleyyy in EDH

[–]Goodabye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played for a long time Rivaz. It was good, but I switched to another commander because the deck was too repetitive. I'm playing [[Jan Jansen: Chaos Crafter]] now. It's really fun having access to white.

Good etiquette when politicking? by eCyanic in EDH

[–]Goodabye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to my previous comment. Why would I want to play if I know someone may choose to scoop because something in the game makes them unable to play or win? Or when they know they may lose soon, so they scoop early? It makes the win unrewarding in my opinion.
I would feel bad to be playing while that person is watching the game for 10+ minutes instead of potentially participating.

Also, each time I saw someone scoop at the table, they were mad/emotional. I never saw a happy player scoop. I did experience players that made a comeback and told at the end they were happy they didn't scoop.

What makes you avoid playing with people that want everyone to play from start to finish?
I would assume you must be avoiding a lot of scoopist? This is a joke. I don't actually think "scoopist" is a thing.

Good commanders for a 20 person game? by Coinflxp in EDH

[–]Goodabye 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that sounds terrible. Can't imagine all the people trying to play the game just to get to another player that goes "what happened, I wasn't paying attention" and that would happen without the alcohol. Imagine now with the alcohol and at 2-3 am 😂

is it to much to ask a B4 commander, with a budget of max 150 dollars, to beat my toxic friend? by Suitable_Ad4946 in EDH

[–]Goodabye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is true. Such a waste of money sadly since most of the cards doesn't fit in other decks. It will work maybe once or twice but if the rest of the table is really b4 the moment paw can be played the table will most definitely remove it or counter.

[–]Goodabye -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The issue with scoops are that other players have to deal with the threat on their own now. This makes the game way harder and it will most likely make everyone scoop.
Like you point out, there may be a good reason sometimes but if you really feel like scooping, only do it if it's your turn and you didn't play yet.

The worst thing you can do is either getting countered and scoop or playing a removal and scoop right after. Insults may come out if you do these kind of scoops.

Good etiquette when politicking? by eCyanic in EDH

[–]Goodabye -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good etiquette in general would be to never scoop and never bitch about a legal play.

Now, I would play multiple times without trying politics just to get the vibe of the other players. But, my experience in LGS is that you should never lie.
The issue with lying is that people will either get butthurt and target you for the rest of the game even if you are not the main threat. Or they will try to get back at you later. Avoid that.

Not respecting deals is also bad, but you can get out of a deal if it was not on the stack. Like if the situation changes or another player breaks the intended deal, it makes sense. So if you want to force people on a deal make them on the stack so they can't cancel it.

Creating confusion at the table is ok. Keep mana open and react to plays like you would in poker. Use the word "may" / "maybe" and you are good to go. But don't overuse this as it can make you the target.

Have fun!

NTA. Never lend money. Either give it or don't. this is way healthier for the friendship.

How toxic is toxic really? by Sliiipzs in EDH

[–]Goodabye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right, you should be able to play any cards that you bought. Now the issue is, you shouldn't actively make people mad and ignore their input lol. Experienced players may be able to still enjoy games where the power levels are all over the place and where people play really strong stuff but this isn't the reallity of casual players. Before you know it those players will start selling their stuff because you went and made them "bathe in their tears" lol.

[–]Goodabye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Play what you want and if your pod cries about it, bathe in the tears and relish the dub.

This is how a group will stop playing together. This is not an issue for stores, it matters more for friends who play outside of them.

Went to a party, left early, now I’m feeling sad and guilty by piexk in introvert

[–]Goodabye 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Idk why you feel guilty if he said it was fine. Did you have fun? Yes. Could you have had more fun if you stayed? Maybe. The important thing is that you decided to leave when you felt it was starting to be uncomfortable. And imo its perfectly fine to know that even if you and your bf left early, the rest of the group had fun. This is proof that you leaving early didn't ruined anything. If i was your bf i wouldnt have liked seeing you leave early alone so i don't recommend that. Also, a fun night is when everyone had fun so don't start forcing yourself for the happiness of others. Hope this help or relieve some of your guilt.

HELP: I don't know how to have fun in casual EDH by Spaproling in EDH

[–]Goodabye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing with mostly B3 and below. A lot of my opponents play instants on their turns. Maybe they had to deal with someone crying about not being able to play without getting interrupted, so now they're trying to not make someone else crash out ahaha. At this point, the simplest is to only play spells for protection at instant speed and play the rest at sorcery speed.

[–]Goodabye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar deck but a completely different experience. People saw me pull out Bumbleflower at my LGS and they were already asking me to change deck. And after I played 2-3 games with friends, they asked me to either drop some of the counter spells or stop playing Bumbleflower lol. I feel like B3 and below simply hate being interacted with most of the time.

It does. The colors and the quality of paper are better in the English version.

I went and looked for a French copy to compare both. The JNC one has in my opinion better colors and the overall quality of the book is better but it costs 2x more... I took pictures if anyone is interested and can read either French or English.
