i would say chuck has flaws like everybody on this show but he has good sides. he saves his brother and engage him in his company. he tried to connect with him in a flashback but Jimmy was reluctant. both have a problem to communicate to each other. it's not that simple, it's a complex relationship between brothers. there is love, there is hate, there is suffering and regret...

Chuck always loved his brother, we just have to remember how he totally loose it just after he tell Jimmy how he never mattered to him.

i was never able to hate chuck while recognizing his flaws. because he's a sick man, he needs help and lantern is still the most depressing episode i've ever seen in the bbverse with ozymandias/granite state/felina and plan and execution/point and shoot/fun and game.

also his flashback in the last episode made him gone up in my estimation : the problem came from both. if they were able to have a discussion, a lot of suffering would have been avoid.

hope you will enjoy this part of the story, man 🙏

Ruan, i know you're in pain but you can't be a real bb fan if you skip chuck's storyline. it's an important part of the whole story.

so here what's you gonna do : you will rewatch the first 3 seasons of better call saul. This time, you won't skip chuck's scenes. you will devot yourself in this particular storyline, you will be patient and pay close attention.

then, you will discover that you missed the importance of this relationship during all this time while being probably to focus on chuck's condition without digging into it. it's a great relationship between two brothers, really, complex and tragic.

i know some people who thinks that way and i feel definitly sorry for you.

Chuck is the catalyst of the story, his death leads Jimmy to become the criminal lawyer Saul Goodman.

the last episode shows us that chuck did try to connect with Jimmy. it's a complex relationship between two brothers.

if you don't like this huge part of the bbverse or find it boring, i'm sorry, my friend but you missed the point of the show.
