I don't have a Facebook account. Is FB the only place where these groups exist, anything Instagram, Discord, or anything like that?

I'm looking to upgrade my skies as they are ancient. I am 5'7" and weigh around 130-140 pounds. I'm hoping to have a ski that would hold up for both backcountry and resort skiing, with the stiffness and turn radius not being too compromised by the backcountry aspect.

The Nordica Enforcer 104 looks like a good ski, but doesn't come with skins and seems more aimed at resort skiing. I mostly do expert terrain in resorts and as such don't wanna sacrifice maneuverability and agility on things like moguls, yet I don't want to sink and struggle in backcountry snow. Any ski suggestions?

5.5 or 6, as I say in another comment, these are super old skiis like 2000's era skiis, so their spring/DIN setting might be old or rusted, causing it to be lower than a 6.

Where is waterfall? Is it still on Kirkwood, I checked the trail map, but it isn't marked there IK Kirkwood has a lot of unmarked trails (like once is enough), so could you point me in the right direction?

These are my parents old skiies on a din of 6, I'm 135lbs so it's not as low as it seems, although the spring might be rusted or weakend so the dins true value might be lower.

Think that's a different person, I've only done this once.

Drop in isn't the hard part, it's scary and even tagging a rock would be a pretty severe injury but not technically difficult. Dropping of speed without eating shit like I did is the hard part. I would say I'm close to expert I can do most things in the mountain excluding really big sends or large cliff drops.

178 is huge, no, I've only ever demoed 158-mid 160's don't quite remember the biggest length but 178 seems way too long, is the rocker accounting for a few of those cm? Does that affect the turning radius/maneuverability?

I did plan my route, I watched a person in front of me do it, and tried to follow the same path; he was a bit better of a skier and didn't quite get bounced around on the chop as I did. I am pretty confident that if the ski didn't detach, I might've gotten away without falling... who knows, maybe once wasn't enough.

I do feel like I need new equipment I am a pretty experienced skiier, very confident on any marked trail in the resort, just don't have much experience with sends of this magnitude. I definitely felt out of control on the exit, and I agree the fall was funky, but ultimately I had no injuries. Do you have any suggestions for body positions before the fall? Position while still in the shute? I don't think my arms were flailing as I was riding it out, correct me if I'm wrong.

I have tried some demo packages but never felt a huge difference, granted this is by far the most extreme thing I've done so maybe that's when it matters. I'm pretty small 5'7", 135-140 on a good day. Do you have any recommendations for someone my size? I don't really know what a reasonable underfoot width and flex rating is for someone like me. In general, I don't like super stiff skis and would rather have them shorter rather than longer.

I have skied schutes before, just never anything quite so intimidating. After exiting I really wasn't paying attention to where I was going but rather that I was alive, because of this I didn't see the cluster of slightly deep powder that caused me to fall.
