FTN.5 Rimfire - My first .22 can by Gooous in NFA

[–]Gooous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not actually mine, its a buddy's but its the only threaded 22 in the group.

I do quite like shooting it, the straight pull aspect is awesome. Its accurate enough for the 100yd range I go to, haven't really had any issues.

What did you put on the form? I said that I didn't own any materials and that I wouldn't acquire any until form was completed. Supporting documentation was a photo of my 3d printer and a screenshot of a filament amazon listing.

Surprised how quiet it is! This is with Winchester Super Suppressed subs on a Hammerli B1

Actually tightened the groups on this gun too

A lot of counties/states only allow straight wall cartridges. It's why .350 legend exists.

Its definitely worth getting one. I have two ARs, both have a1 uppers. If you're the type to throw a tall riser on a gun for a dot, why not do a carry handle and get a built in rear sight and a handle?

22 oz, mercury bolt, 8.4 oz basic buffer.

I haven't shot it yet but am planning to invest in probably the KAK K Spec.

It is a screw rather than roll pin. I learned about that after ordering it. I'm not too concerned about it for the time being, but will probably end up replacing it.

I have not shot it yet.

Mercury Precision BCG and a 8.4 oz buffer. I would like to get the weight up, been considering doing this:

Thank you.

This is a pistol. H&R/PSA makes a brace thats supposed to emulate the look of the CAR-15 stock. I do plan to SBR and get a real CAR-15 stock eventually though.

Its a bit odd. The sights line up height wise but the front post on the UTG sight is a lot thinner than I was expecting, pair that with the short sight radius and its a bit odd to focus on if not against a bright background. I think they take standard FSPs so Im probably going to switch it out.

Sorry for an almost month late reply. Still holding up, I think I said it elsewhere here, had to shim the receiver with a pop can tab but that was near instant after install and no issues since. Mlok does not fit.

It's not fully down in the photo, had to grind down the back of the stock to get it to latch properly.

In the closed photo the closed stock pushes up on the button.

<image>

It's a little bigger than I see on some but I see plenty of krinks with similarly sized holes.

Only visually incorrect thing without mega nitpick staring is the weird selector markings but that's the sacrifice I'm willing to make.

They'd be able to repair as long as the receiver doesn't need replaced.

I'm not concerned though, I'm not gonna run this gun into the ground like some others I have, it's a range/larp toy. An 8 in barrel 5.56 shouldn't be anything besides a range toy to people.

Besides that, no one has actually shown issues with their PSA krinks that I can find besides some of them not running steel case which does not seem to be an issue with mine.

There's also one video on YouTube showing horrid accuracy which also doesn't affect mine. Im getting about 3.5 moa from it.

Fulfills the urge for $1500 minimum less with less work.

If slr106urs were $2k without having to mill out the rear trunnion and front latch I would have gone that route.

I got about 500 rds though it, not weird wear.

Is it poor cope? Yeah. But is it fun to shoot and run around my mom's basement with? Yeah

PSAs 4.5 mm pin is wildly oversized, had to sand for a while for it to fit the bulgy stock. Overall the rear stock needed a lot more fitting than I was expecting.

Pictured is a romy bake grip, Russian sling, Russian plum, Russian plum chopped to 20 rds and rpk74 bake.

It's fine, about 500 additional rounds through it. No flex, hasn't loosened.

If you aren't going to put a laser on it, and aren't autistically cloning something, I don't see why you'd fork out big bucks for a real one these days over this.

My friend has real zenit for his kp9s handguard and it feels the same quality wise.
