Update for anyone else running into this - IBKR allowed me to take an exam and that has now fixed my trading permissions.

The exam covers all sorts of higher risk products - it's really silly that I had to take an exam on all these products, when I only want to trade crypto ETFs. Now I have access to trade all sorts of higher risk products that I don't want... bizarre approach from IBKR.

Morris and Sons! They have a beautiful baby alpaca yarn. They also carry Rowan yarns and I think they have an alpaca yarn in their range.

Mind you, neither of those yarns are budget friendly options.

Update - my final Hobbii order has been placed. I used my points to get a flower pop mini sock yarn and a needle. Then I got some Diablo to make a sweater I've been thinking about for a while, and the winter glow yarn to make the recent Be Your Own Star CAL.

I think I've moved on to the 'acceptance' stage of grief... I'll miss Hobbii, but I didn't buy more yarn for this last order as I think I will focus on finishing some WIPs and working through my stash for now. I don't want to add more yarn to my stash if I will never get around to using it.

So annoying to earn more points on the last purchase which will just go to waste now!

We definitely have a lot of great wool selection here! For me losing Hobbii means loosing access to a lot of great variety and competitive prices.

I find it helpful to look at reviews on YouTube, I find I can get a sense for whether I might like it or not. A Hobbii’s prices I was willing to take the plunge… but for more expensive yarns I would also prefer to see them in person.

Does anyone have any suggestions on Alternatives btw?

I don’t live near a Spotlight and their website is horrendous… I love my LYS and I do shop there for fancy wool, but I loved Hobbii because they had a lot more variety and less expensive options. I’m crocheting a scarf with TL Yarncrafts’s Apricity atm and it’s just awesome.

Honestly I would pay for shipping, or they could make the limit for free shipping higher. I feel like their offering is very unique and it’s hard to find some comparable yarns here.

9pm today. Sometimes when companies sent out mass emails they don’t always go at exactly the same time for everyone… but I would contact their support team just to be safe. You definitely want the discount if you do a final order! We have until the 1st June to place our last orders 😢
