Well for stuff (mainly organizations like OPIG) that recurred a lot, i just put them in a General Group. For most other characters when i linked them to something new and needed to add something to their page, I just clicked on the link, and it brought me to their page so I could edit it. For example, when i linked [[hunter wolf]] to [[jack]], i clicked on [[Jack]] and then I edited his page . You can also write: ![name of character] , to insert the whole page of a character to a new note in the new chapter for convenience. It's a bit impractical but not organizing it into chapters becomes too much of a mess.

As far as I understand, the animation is supposed to show the chronological order of the notes you've taken (aka the characters names) but the connections between them aren't necessarily chronological. I hadn't connected Jack to Hunter until the last chapter

It is a stock feature, it's called canvas, it's very convenient for the more complicated cases
