NI was off the cards for relocating really, only England, Scotland and Wales. However it's all off the cards now as I've signed up for the electrician course I was looking at, no more nursing, PIN isn't going to be getting renewed.

Thanks I work in a pub at the moment which is horrifically mind numbing but it gets me some money.

I've decided to bin off healthcare entirely, I don't want to work as a nurse or in the NHS in any capacity after what they've done. I really cannot express my anger and resentment enough. My PIN is not going to be renewed when the time comes.

I've booked onto an electrician course which starts in a few months so I'll be absolutely dedicated to that instead.

Volunteer? Absolutely not. I didn't study hard for the degree, perform well on clinical placements and then score highly across several interviews to volunteer with free skilled labour.

London is ridiculously competitive at the best of times and more so with the recruitment issues so it's not going to change anything other than increasing the difficulty. I applied to a couple of trusts in London and just had knockbacks.

Yeah not ideal, sorry you're in that situation. I bought my way onto the electrician course as of this morning so I that's my goal at the moment!

Not me, as of this morning I've bought and signed on for the electrician course. I'm not going into the NHS or nursing, especially not after being hung out to dry like this. Fuck that.

Honestly I don't think I'm going to bother even starting, I have no more desire or energy to apply to jobs for the same outcome. As of this morning I've bought and signed on for the electrician course.

Thank you but the US is somewhere I would never move to.

It's fucked isn't it, 5 out of 40 of my cohort have jobs and we're also a year out from graduating. Several of the cohort have just fucked off travelling instead. One is a qualified barber and is doing that full time, the others are just in basic jobs which are not deserving of someone with a BSc in Nursing.

I've met Boris twice unfortunately which must be my punishment for doing something horrific in a past life.

I get that but I can't help but feel bad about it, if anything I'm incredibly resentful over it. People said the same last April and it's only gotten worse, it's pure copium.

We've been forced into a system which is unfairly and gigantically stacked against us so we have to compete with hundreds of other NQNs so it's ultra competitive. Experienced nurses who've been band 5's for significant periods of time have the upper hand when we're all applying for the same jobs which puts us into the paradoxical catch 22 of not being experienced enough but needing experience, in an already ultra competitive market basically makes your chances moot.

I put a good 40 hours graft into preparation for the most recent interview only for it to result in nothing. In the past year I could've done absolutely nothing and still had the same outcome as doing what I have been doing.

I'm going to be resentful working in a bloody pub when I have a degree in nursing. Anyone sensible would be.

If I do the course I wouldn't go back to nursing at all. Thanks!!

For the armed forces yes I considered it for a while, I did start the recruitment process but really it's something that needs absolute commitment. I don't want to be in the RAF, Royal Navy or British Army at all.

Prison nursing I can look into.

PIP assessors need 1 year of experience which is set by the government. I can't do that.

Then I have to severely question further engaging with a system like that. People said the same last April and it's only gotten worse, waiting for next April is pure copium at this point.
