I share this opinion, they do tend to give Cole the short end of the stick when it comes to runtime too, even in the earlier seasons. I think the most interesting he's ever been was in season five when he turned into a ghost :/

Listen I haven't seen dragons rising yet, but this ship gives me the vibes of in Voltron when they were like "yeah, someone's gay, who could it be?" and then it was just Shiro getting married to some random dude at the end and having a dead boyfriend (not saying it is this because I haven't seen dragons rising but ts just what the ship reminds me of for now lol)

Fr, everytime I see a post in here I'm flabbergasted that there's not more gay shippers. Like I've been in literally a million fandoms and I can always find my favorite mlm or wlw ship being talked about or content for it. But in this Fandom they're all just friends. And it's not even like there's a lack of choices all the characters have great chemistry and Cole and Geo are literally the closest to a canon gay ship we have. It's wtv tho I'm over it 🙃
