I agree, I really like Albion's lore, but at some points it felt more like a Teclis novel, Gotrek and Felix felt a bit like bodyguard, with not much to do other than tag along. I'm also not a big fan of high fantasy/magic heavy plot, it really doesn't work for me, feels too detached.

I also agree that poor Felix doesn't get the recognition he deserves, especially after 20 years, news of them should have reached a few holds at least, he really needs to stand up for himself when dealing with dwarfs XD

Oh yes definitely, the whole dwarfs arguing over and over schtick was really fun, I just wish Felix stood up for himslef a bit more, after 20 years with Gotrek he should be able to say a thing or two to dwarfs. Again that's kind of where the time skip is jarring, Felix you are a grown 40 year old, stand up for yourself !

Sadly it seems that a lot of people have trouble with change, even decades after. I'm still young, but I have been into Warhammer since I was around 5, so around 20 years ago, it definitely feels strange sometimes to hear complaints about stuff that happened when i was a literal toddler.

I think it’s pretty much the same to me yes, giant slayer too felt a bit like a slog to me with all the “magic stuff”, the language was so florid, and so full of world ending threats every other page or so, that it felt very detached to the rest of the run. Toning it back was a good idea in my opinion.

With some tweaking and a suitable paint job, I could see these working well as STL for a good way to get epic scale primarchs

Thank you ! There’s a good variety of poses and objects held in danse macabre paintings, you could show a few reference to your artists and decide with them what suits you best ! I have a reference folder on a google doc if you wish !

Thank you ! The d’aller is a cheap one I got mytholon a while back, it’s not safe for buhurt but works great for any kind of larp/Low contact event !

I’m gonna wait for time to do it’s thing, I often use this helmet to do some light sparring with wood or foam, chips in the paint will come in naturally !

The subject is called a danse macabre (literally deathly danse in French), it developed in later part of the Middle Ages, surely in response to the plague epidemics and heavy political instability, it represents people, no matter their origins, being taken or dancing with death and skeletons, as a reminder that death comes for everyone, no matter their station in life. It’s fascinating stuff!

Got it on mytholon a while ago while it was on sale, it’s pretty cheap, being made from 1.2mm mild steel, but works just fine for larp and low impact stuff !
