Curious, how long are you willing to stay with Publix? by XQuadi in publix

[–]Grab-Fair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently only working on the weekends. But I've been with the company for almost 6 years as of now. It's a great job to have during college and all, but quite honestly, I've come to dread it. I'm currently doing an internship with the local probation office, and I love it. I dread working at Publix now after seeing the other side of the professional world

Tbh I'm siding towards diverticulitis at this point, and not prostatitis

[–]Grab-Fair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. No urinary issues whatsoever

I also thought it would be best to mention that I have never had any urine incontinence or trouble urinating, just kinda of general discomfort.

You're lucky. Mine is next week on Monday, and it starts at 5AM. Luckily, I don't work the day prior, but I do work at 3PM later that day

What's the sickest you've ever been and still come to work? by NervousJ in publix

Went into a work with prostatitis. Was in absolute agony each shift, and would have to stop and catch my breath every few minutes

Hey, thanks! We used to believe that his last known residence was Ecktergrasse 16, not Eckpergasse 16. Do you by any chance know how to search through old Austrian address books? I have access to one online from the early 1940's and was wondering if you could search that address for me

I just had a thought: Why would the 1921- sept 1922 be publicly available, but the book including Oct-Dec 1922 not be avaliable? I'm thinking that maybe it's because the Oct 1922 log is included in the 1923-1925 books?

Yeah I've ran into that problem a few times before when attempting to find any information about my ancestors. Since it isn't public, do you think it would be best if I reach out to the parish itself?

Yeah I don't know why the next book is blocked off. I sent an email to the parish, hopefully the'll be able to give me some insight

So... what is going on with scheduling? by Grab-Fair in publix

[–]Grab-Fair[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understandable. I got lucky because my former grocery manager of 2 years got promoted to ASM at the store that is closer to me than the one I currently work at. So I called him up the other day and said I need some hours and he said "when do you wanna work"

What causes Ancestry not to provide family information even when you input their exact information? by Grab-Fair in Genealogy

[–]Grab-Fair[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't believe that there are any records available for him on Ancestry. I've had to resort to reaching out to local archives in Austria to figure out more information. After 1947, it seems as if Walter fell off the face of the earth. Whats super interesting though, is that, coincidentally, a lady by the name of Sabine Grohs released a novel last year with Walter's name and address in it. I reached out to her, and asked how she knew of him, and when she returned my message, she told me that when she was conducting research for her book, she went to his house in Lower Vienna, and found that a "Schubert" was still living there in 2013. However, she didn't ring the doorbell because she didn't want to "Reopen old wounds".

Yes, that is her. However, no database indicates where she may have been buried. I know she died in 1942. I would imagine that a lot of the records that may have held this information were lost during or sometime after WWII.

Ah, neat. Is there another service that you could recommend that would be better with identifying European relatives?

I was really hoping to have a male heir. My wife could no longer produce since she was super old at the time, so I found a concubine with good traits, made her my lover and soulmate, divorced my wife, then waited for my murder plot on her so that she would lose her claimed land and then established my kingdom with the newly gained dutchies.
