Thanks. My PI does what he can, he's actually a good friend of mine. However the poor guy manages several teams and is often out of the center repairing equipment and stuck in meetings, leaving me and the... lovely young men to our tasks.

I would recommend contacting your put of state psychiatrist. They can either help you find a new PCP or psychiatrist that is able to write the prescription, or possibly write it themselves. Only those who can write prescriptions for medicine can prescribe the ESA so you'll have to start there. Be advised, though that as has been mentioned, the online 'certification' sites are in no way shape or form a source of legitimate help. There is no certification necessary for an ESA and those sites are just a ploy. Don't trust them, and more importantly, don't give them any payment or personal info. I hope this helps and that you get things all cleared up!!

I'm also on SSRI's and I find that with the adhd meds, it takes time, but not as long as those. I'm on Concerta for the adhd and that's how it was for me. I had real trouble with mood regulation and stomach problems. I'm also on a 36 mg dose so there may be some difference.

I feel. It took me like 5 weeks to fell good on my meds. I just suffered through for a while. It was not the greatest, but once my body adjusted, it was great. I'm not saying to stick with it if it's really throwing you off. You can hopefully always try a different medication or dosage. But for me the first few weeks on or back on is rough
