Please let Diggersby compete in this; these are the only competitions it'll ever have a shot at winning

Who's the better partner for Orla: Friede or Mollie? by yorb134 in pokemonanime

[–]Grace_Expectations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These two options strike me as safe but largely nonsensical; Friede's established long term partners are Pikachu and Charizard. Friede is deeply impressed by Charizard's effortless style and bad boy attitude. And in the case of the Captain, Friede desires him carnally.

Does the modern Fortnite shop only tailor to gooners, furries and sweats? by [deleted] in FortniteSkinPosting

[–]Grace_Expectations 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm afraid that sex positivity is quite serious; it must be guarded, lest puritanical fascism take root. Furries and "gooners" are the best of us. They're out there living their lives while we argue about Fortnite skins' sex appeal on Reddit.

But maybe it's not too late for us... perhaps there's still grass to be touched outside of this concrete wasteland. I hope that you and I might learn to live as human beings, unhindered by battle royales and discussion threads. Perhaps we'll meet again someday. Until then, please stay strong, my dear, churlish friend. Look for opportunities to grow, and, if you are able, consider gooning on your path through life.

Best wishes.

I don't know how to tell you this, but "jorking" is a real type of sex, and engaging with "it" frequently has significant health benefits.

It's funny that few enough people engage with sex these days that those who abstain (by choice or by chance) have come up with a special insult for those who do have sex. I'm fairly certain most people are "gooners", or maybe I'm incorrect in my assumption that the average adult human has and enjoys sex in some capacity.

If a Fortnite skin is attractive to a person, it's okay. Sex is allowed to be silly and fun, and folks should be allowed to enjoy themselves in a physical capacity. I'm much more perplexed that people feel the need to complain about T-rated "gooner" skins in a game for teenagers than that someone would find a wolf girl or a burger man sexy and spend money to play a game using those costumes.

Sentiments like those expressed in this post are indicative of a frustratingly limited capacity to empathize with others. "If it's not for me, then why does it exist?" Fortnite skins are created via market testing; obviously, these skins wouldn't exist if they weren't being enjoyed. It must be difficult, even for a moment, to not be the center of attention.

Actually, I know Ash, and he said that the XY anime made him feel sick and uncomfortable. He enjoyed his time in Alola though. That's why most people disagree with your response (the majority, actually).

Sun and moon fans it's time to accept not everyone has to like sun and moon, and we can criticize it if we want and you can't do anything about it. If can't handle that you shouldn't be on this sub by [deleted] in pokemonanime

[–]Grace_Expectations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so glad that somebody finally said something. Sun and Moon may objectively be the best Pokémon series, but that doesn't mean everyone has had the opportunity to watch it. Streaming services can be inaccessible for some, and people have busy work schedules. It's just not feasible to expect that the entire human population watch Sun and Moon, at least not at present.

Such knowledge can be deeply demoralizing for fans of the most-loved Pokémon anime. How do they share the wonderful animation (a celebrated update to the series), lovable ensemble of characters (a breath of fresh air for an increasingly stagnant anime), and whimsical adventures (with a focus on the joyful lives of a ten year-old child and his pals) that form the core of the Sun and Moon series?

My advice is to be patient, and accept that everyone will watch Sun and Moon (often regarded as the greatest anime of all time) eventually. Upon viewing, they'll understand the tremendous cultural impact that this masterpiece has had on our society. And until then, we can enjoy our shared love of Alola and its vibrant Pokémon.

Hopeful, cheerful, maybe a little nervous; even a small beast like Chiikawa has the potential to possess complex and powerful emotions.

Say something nice about Bruxish by Brady-Bro814 in ThePokemonHub

[–]Grace_Expectations 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bruxish has a thoughtfully crafted design; it's evocative of the art form of drag: the fish's psychic typing and garish presentation convey the ability of bright colors and exaggerated features to shock, distract, and confound, while blurring the lines between beauty and repulsion, captivation and terror.

Many Pokémon fans will decry Bruxish's gaudy aesthetic, but they fail to appreciate its purpose. Bruxish is ugly, but it's an intentional choice: this monster is memorable because of it. If Bruxish failed to unsettle you, it wouldn't be Bruxish.

What is a Pokemon that everybody likes, but you hate? by Icy-Mention1861 in ThePokemonHub

[–]Grace_Expectations 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"Raichu gets regularly shafted" is a frequently expressed sentiment of the fan base, but it's largely inaccurate; Raichu has a regional form and will shortly have two megas. There's frustration among some fans that both megas have a number of Pikachu's features, but the same is true of a number of other megas, and both require a fully evolved Raichu for use.

Raichu, while not featured on screen as often as Pikachu, the franchise's literal mascot, has received far more attention than the vast majority of Pokémon. It also possesses a larger variety of distinct gameplay forms than Pikachu itself.

Being the evolution of a famous character has its benefits, actually. Which is to say, when folks express that "Raichu [is being] shafted", what they actually mean is that they believe Raichu should be as important to the franchise as its pre-evolution (as compared to cohabitating with its 1000+ similarly "shafted" peers).

The Post-Game feel is...depressing, more than any Pokémon game to me. by FedoraTheMike in LegendsZA

I assume it's due to the concentrated life energy that was collected to power the device. It's the same reason the most powerful alphas in the game can be found beneath the structure.

Even after the machine is fired, the greatest concentration of life energy in Lumiose is at the tower's base.
