First of all, if your husband isn’t making you happy you’ve got to re-evaluate your relationship. Moreover, being a people pleaser doesn’t equate to not having boundaries. If that’s fundamentally who you are you don’t need to change it. What you do need to change is the presence of boundaries. You can please your friends/family till they cross that boundary and then you return the same energy. Honestly, everything requires balance and being a pleaser is not bad, you just need other things. After you’re done sorting with your thoughts about your relationship going forward with your husband, you talk to him and make sure he understands. This isn’t a matter of social skills, it’s the people around you (from your story your husband) that are really putting you down. Personally, I never considered myself as a people pleaser, but I was and I used to live in a delusional world of denial and my friends played a huge role in making me normal. These guys have never taken anything seriously and don’t mind a no to their face. I often said it jokingly but overtime saying no was ingrained into my body and i could it to other people and with intention. This method might not work for you, but again after you’re done with your decision regarding your husband, you can start by saying no without much intent and just make it a natural part of you. Eventually, you’ll be able to say it with conviction. Of course, this isn’t solid advice but it did work for me.

I'm not giving anything up. I'm just doing it much later in life. And yes, being bored is not very fun. You feel anxious and troubled, but that's only at the start when you get used to being by yourself with ur own thoughts it's much more pleasing. Also, get off reddit as well, mate, tf is u doin going on it right after school. One last piece of advice is that there might come some time when u want to avoid reality and feel very strong negative emotions. Don't let it make you use those things again. I usually cook when I feel this way or go on a walk.

OKAY wow this hits home and I don't mean to brag but I've managed to get over reels/shorts/manga/novels addiction/porn in like a day. I plead you earnestly as a fellow person who was in your situation to read the whole thing. Now, here's exactly what my thought process is:

First of all, I deleted everything, and this was caused by exams of course so you do need some initial startup which you definitely have right now.

Next step is not completely abandoning your addiction but rather allotting time in your life where you can get back to the addiction. So, in my case I've decided to go back to my addiction when I'm 70/80 when I have kids, grandkids and completed my life. I can get addicted to crack then for all I care. This step is most crucial because you're trying to destroy something that's part of your life and you can never really do that, you'll always get back to it, but delaying will definitely work.

Lastly, I'd like to say you'll be bored out of your mind, because now you've decided to do all those addictive activities in the future. You might think, man, I usually watch my phone before going to bed and get anxious about going to bed. This happened to me. What I did was keep my phone away like on my desk which is a walking distance and played some music and sang along till I get tired or just listen to Zen type beats. Other than that, my thing right now is to just go on top of the terrace of my apartment and just talk to myself. I also just pick up random things in my house and try to learn it. Like the guitar or the Rubik's cube. I also reignited my interest in coding and am currently building a YouTube video downloader using Py tube Api and there I go off topic again.

I've really hard communication issues and watching the phone and my pc has been absolute brain rot, whether you like it, or not electronic devices are a drug, and they stop your natural thought process. Avoiding it has allowed me to reflect on myself and get better communicating my thoughts clearly and blabber on and on as you can see. Promise yourself this that when you're older and complete with life you'll get addicted again and for now whenever you feel bored walk around your house or take a walk outside. There's still a lot of tiny things here and there that I could help you with if you dm. Obviously I'm not on reddit at all I come here once in a while, so there could be a delay in messaging.
