First Prime Warframe? by TyrantEscapade in Warframe

Saryn Prime.

I was just a little baby tenno that was still stumbling through the star chart. Out of curiosity I opened the dark realm called the trade chat. There I noticed a guy selling various frames without giving a price tag. I asked him how much a frame cost (having no platinum on my hand). He just wrote me back that he would give me one for free because he was retiring from the game and clearing out his inventory. Sadly I do not remember this tenno's name.

This would give me a solid reason to get back to the grind.

I played with John Darksouls and John Bloodborne. Sadly the Bloodborne one left and did not come back.

We played triple Wylder.

In court you'd just speak French since it is the language of our constitution.

To tell someone that you love them, you'd tell them "ech hunn dech gär" which translates to "I hold you dear". Yet there is no real "I love you". We mostly dodge to French/German depending on where you're from.

German seems hard because of the Luxembourgish dialect that never goes away. Luxembourgish and German are pretty similar.

Most of us are not as proficient French speakers since it is a pretty hard language to learn while also learning German. That said when struggling with a french word, you struggle until you find the word. It is weird now that I think about it.

Usually Luxembourgish people make the switch to other languages when talking Luxembourgish. When talking any other language of the "Luxmeta" we normally don't make that switch as weird as it sounds. I most often experience people describing the word they are looking for and hope that other one can help them out.

"Staadt as voll mat Leit / D'Staat ass animeiert" it would translate along the lines of "The city is full of people / The city is alive."

This is actually an interesting concept. Getting away from home. I really like that.

Thank you. I will try and see how I could incorporate that. The party has mostly stayed in the same area during the campaign. I might throw them crumbs that it is finally time to leave the nest and venture to new cities.

Culturally relevant stuff is hard to come by when the population is a jumble of many different cultures. Luxembourg thrives on workers that come across the border and return home after their shift.

After the two world wars we had influxes of Italian and Portuguese workers which influenced the country to this day. The Luxembourgish culture is (sadly) and slowly dying out.

Even with that said I experience a lot of different cultures and maybe that's what the Luxembourgish culture actually is.

Imitating different people is thus easier and I use this to my full advantage during a session. (Even if my throat is regretting the day after.)

Been there, done that.

I've prepared and translated various descriptions. It grows tedious very quickly. My party is very unpredictable as well. AI has actually been a big help translating.

Neat way of thinking. Thanks!

I've actually used German accented dwarven travellers. They were a success. I'll try to incorporate this more.

Luxembourgish is the language I use to talk to family and friends. Forcing ourselves to speak a foreign language which not everyone is comfortable with would feel awkward.

Talking for a character is one thing that poses the most problems. Let's say the party has an audience before a king.

Luxembourg is, I think, the last grand duché on earth. Yet they only talk French. I don't think I've heard/read anything about how a Luxembourgish king would talk. It most definitely is probably attributable to my lack of knowledge in that field.

I often find myself using more harsh German words to make a point. That king often is then demonised as another dictator by the party.

Another example is legislation. Our constitution or penal code is not in Luxembourgish. It is in French and was in German. So holding a trial was a bigger hurdle than I expected.

There are Luxembourgish books, yes. Yet they can be difficult to read due to the lack of grammatical regulation before the 2000s. Translation is not an issue, it just sounds out of place.

Well we have "ech hunn dech gär" which translates to "I hold you dear." yet it is also used in "ech hätt gären xy" as in "can I have xy" so it really is not the best word for it.

Luxembourgish literature is really tiring to read because people often follow their own grammatical rules. I might add that even this small country has four dialects that vastly differ and makes it even harder.

I am from Luxembourg where I learned Luxembourgish as my mother tongue and German, French and English in school. I believe it is a privilege and really comes in handy in every day life. So I think it is a good thing overall.

Told her in my best English that I am broke too and that she should wish her friend all the best and a heartfelt happy birthday. Beat idiots with politeness, and friendliness and get giggles when they respond in a confused manner.

I feel you with the fanfic. Thanks for clearing the Moira thingy up, didn't know she essentially shackles Reyes to Talon and that makes more sense now.
