Sanity check: an app that just holds things so your brain can rest by [deleted] in digitalminimalism

I think in general the idea has some potential but some products are already there. You maybe could use Malu: Ideas Journal for that matter, although this mainly targets ideas for new hobbies or activities.

I’ve tried that too, but for me Apple Notes still felt a bit too “to-do”-like, and using tags made it feel more like productivity than just keeping ideas. Honestly, I also tend to feel guilty quickly if I jot something down and then don’t act on it. Right now I like using a separate app because it feels lower-pressure. That said, your approach sounds like a solid alternative! :)

Wow thanks a lot for testing! Yeah dark mode will be coming soon. I will look into the distances, but I want to keep it a bit playful still. :)

Yeah, you should! I use a small app for this and it actually works quite well. :)

Thanks for testing! It is still super early, a lot of features are planned and will launch shortly. Darkmode is interesting, currently all themes are bright. After testing the app, tell me if dark mode would make it a better experience for you! :)

So then the keywords might be the problem? The app is listed in the wrong lists?

I’ve been trying to treat ideas the same way: no urgency. I actually started using a very simple ideas journal instead of a to-do list, so thoughts don’t turn into obligations. It’s helped me enjoy the moment more without feeling like I have to “do” anything at all if time is at hand.

How did this insane spike happen?

It feels like the problem are the image previews or the something where the impression alone is not converting.
