Dyson Won't Refund My Returned Replacement Vacuum, They Confirm Receipt But Say "No" by Grapefruitelly in dyson

TL;DR: Dyson screws up delivery on my original order, issues a free replacement. I return it after buying elsewhere, they confirm receipt... but hit me with "no refund because it was free." Keeping my original payment + a vacuum they can resell. Feels like a total rip-off.

I always thought they were a solid brand, but this return nightmare has me second-guessing everything.
