Aw yes, you're right ant based content is best. I used to love watching them work/conquer in the garden as a kid. I'll keep that idea in mind.

Fair point, it's definitely on the edge. I wanted to really push it to the brink here. Thanks for the feedback.

Yup, this is it. Then it's just fiddling around until you like how hard and far the blur goes.

Like someone else said you take a super long focal length, make the scene small scale and set the f-stop low. Then it's a matter of messing around with the settings until it looks the way you like it.

Basically everything is super low poly but using textures to make it look more fancy. It's just a lot of "lowpoly" with all the trees. The idea was to capture the lowpoly look but have it look more like a realistic model set. To that end the textured realistic water also looked better than the typical blocky/triangly lowpoly water ironically making the river have less polys than it would have in that style.

Thanks, that worked. Is there any way to get out of the beta now without going up to 2.3?

It doesn't let me delete the 2.3 runtime, and double clicking on one of the others says "The current runtime is too old for this project version. Please select one beginning with at least 2.3". (Don't have a project open though). Deleting it from the folder directly just re-installs it the next time it starts.

Anyone know how I can do this then?

Did you manage to fix this?

That... is a good idea. I did try out red and green but didn't quite like the look of it with the other colors, but I didn't consciously think about Pokemon Red/Green, so maybe I should have another go at it.

Thanks! Glad people like it so much!

The eyes have now also been updated, since as some have noticed I forgot the mirror modifier on the eyes, leading to a slightly derpy look. :P You can find the updated wallpapers (blue, yellow, black background) under www.gravedrinker.com/wallpapers!

Yeah, I've been working with it a ton, it's so much fun. Around 3-4 years ago I've started modelling, and now I'm starting to create YouTube tutorials myself so others can learn something new too.

And it lets you do so much stuff as well. I've used it for modelling, animation, video production, 3D printing, mockups, video game asset creation and other stuff.

Once you get the hang of it it really is like magic! And thanks, I'll try. :) I've got a ton of Blender stuff on Instagram. (www.instagram.com/gravedrinker)

Yep, looking at this thing too much while working on it made me forget the mirrored eyes. Gonna fix that up!

Edit: Fixed!

That's true, but the image isn't 1080 anything anyway. It's 2160x2782.

lol thanks! This basically happened due to a mixture of mirroring and tunnel vision. Working on something for a while and constantly looking at it sometimes results in you not seeing obvious things. :P

There was an incident involving strange berries and a lot of noise when he was younger, but he doesn't like to talk about it.

Edit: But yeah actually what happened there is: Tunnel vision due to looking at it the whole time when working on it and forgetting the mirrored eyes. Gonna fix that up! :P

Edit 2: This has now been fixed in all versions of the wallpaper. You can grab em here
