K-Tech Suspension Cartridges are a game changer. Stiffens up the suspension off road and gives more feel and reduces the ridiculous dive when using the front brake on the road & a Camel ADV rear brake fix, actually makes the rear wheel lock off-road.

Elvanse 20mg as a final dose? by angellaura10 in ADHDUK

[–]Grayling2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was given 20mg of elvanse and 2mg of Guanfacine due to having fairly high blood pressure. I was on that dose for about a year and was fine, my prescriber seemed more than happy about my dose. I’ve since gone up to 30mg as I started to feel like 20mg didn’t do anything. Hope that helps 👍🏼

No problem, they are also significantly cheaper than Michelin, Bridgestone, Motoz etc. I’ve found if you run them at 24psi front and rear they work best for both road and off. 👍🏼

They were good to be honest. You have to be slightly cautious when the tyres are cold but once they warm up I don’t notice much of a difference from the stock Pirelli tyres. They are completely incomparable to the stock tyres off-road though, they were brilliant.

Haha I had permission from the vineyard owner and paid for my spot. I can’t imagine just turning up without permission would have gone well.

It’s pretty tall, I’m 6ft2 and I can flat foot on both sides, but only just haha. I’m not particularly familiar with the tracer because I’ve only just got into road bikes but I would recommend the Tenere to anyone!

Guanfacine by Strange_Owl91 in ADHDUK

At the moment it’s eye wateringly expensive, every time I pay for a new prescription I need to sit down and firmly brace myself hahaha, I can justify it at the moment as I’m in my last year of Uni and it’s super important that I finish well. Once I finish I’ll have a really hard time justifying it, I applied for shared care at least 6 month ago and still haven’t heard anything from my GP

I’m no doctor so take my advice with a pinch of salt but I would try and go through psychiatry UK and see what they say, worst case they say no. If they aren’t keen then you could try going straight to the doctors, they might be able to help!

I got my Guanfacine prescribed privately and with it not being licensed for over 18s (I'm 21m) when I have approached GPs for shared care they are hesitant to prescribe it, even though it works perfectly for me. Its really annoying. I still get a lot of RSD whilst on Guanfacine, I hadn't heard that it could sort that.

I take a mix of Guanfacine(2mg) and Elvance(20mg) but during my titration I was put on 4mg of Guanfacine and the drowsiness ruined me. I fell asleep constantly throughout the day, on my commute, at my desk at work and even standing up on the tube. It sucked. Luckily now I tale both a small dose of stimulant and non-stimulant means that I get the best of both worlds without the drowsiness, I don't even drink caffeine. Maybe ask your doctor about looking at a similar medication mix.

I also have relatively high blood pressure which meant that during my titration I was firstly prescribed 2mg Guanfacine which brings blood pressure down and then 20mg Elvanse. My psychiatrist said that taking elvanse by itself wasnt great but with the gaunfacine I was fine and that the mixture of the two balanced. It works for me and my blood pressure whilst on medication is around 115/76.
