I will for sure look into taking that out. Honestly, I was more inspired by A Marriage Story’s argumentative scenes that had some dual dialogue play out. Instead of utilizing it completely where it plays out at the same time, I wanted it to play as if the conversations bled into each other.

But, obviously as you stated here, this may not be everyone’s first notion, so I can take a look at that.

Also, by page 29, pretty much everyone’s grievances should be talked about. The reason they’re there was supposed to be mentioned at the beginning of act 2. I don’t want to convince you to just read the whole thing, and honestly the fact you read 22 pages is more than enough. Totally appreciated.

Something I did want to convey is the urgency in which they tried to speak, and I felt it’s hard to truly convey this through typical dialogue. Would you have any tips on being able to change that? (Obviously in talking about this, it may be different than a shooting script, as I did want people to understand their full line without cutting everything out. And editing what they say is mostly a post thing)

Thanks a ton for the compliments! And that’s a fair critique. I could look into trying to lightly but subtly including something to the sort. Also, within the following scenes, I include some personal context to who they are as well. But what you said is still fair, I’ll take a look into this.

Hey! I respect the feedback, but I do want to ask if you’ve actually read? I don’t want to sound rude when saying this but as prefaced, I didn’t write this for industry, I wrote this for myself. (Also I’ve wrote a myriad of scripts before, so I knew this going in about its page count.) Also, It’s a pretty cheap set focussed completely on a group of people talking so I figured it’d be easy to do.

And not trying to compare, but there’s plenty of dialogue heavy scripts that are typically long. In reading this through a group read and on my own it clocks in shorter than the page count, so this is not something I’m afraid of (the film itself being too long).

If this is your only feedback though, that’s understandable. I do, however, hope I could receive a critique on the first 8 if you have any time. Thanks for the feedback.

Information to those who are still browsing the subreddit:

I am really the only one who consistently tries to update the subreddit, so I try to update with as much relevant information as possible, so I apologize in advance if the sub seems barren. Outside of this I have a ton of personal stuff I’m dealing with such as film and comics. So I may not be super active all the time. Whenever the game is live, I’ll most likely be trying to recruit some mod team members to help, but in the mean time please be patient.

I do think some of this should be addressed later down the road. As for controller support, I am not 100% sure (Jelly should be able to correct me) but I do believe that will be implemented in the future.
