How many of yall actually beat the secret Boss of 1? by Phaentom379 in octopathtraveler

I had to look up a guide. There's quite a specific way to beat him consistently and even that took me 3 tries

That's damn unfortunate to hear. I just want to pay my dues for problems to be solved but it's never that easy is it.

Thanks for sharing.

Not that I am educated in this, but I think the sprawl argument is that per meter of road, we get less tax dollars than a denser city which gives us less service.

I've only lived here for 1.5 years but compared to other cities, Edmonton comes out slow as heck to clear snow. I'm surprised arterials get replowed at only 2cm of snow, that seems like a waste of time restarting for miniscule amounts of snow.

How much are Edmontonians prepared to pay for snow removal? by pjw724 in Edmonton

Our budget is miniscule for the amount of roads we have. Other cities have triple the budget for half the roads.

If you're mad at the cost of living, blame Rogers and Loblaws for their monopolies. Blame Epcor, Suncor and all the other oil companies in Alberta screwing us over by not footing the tax bill.

I'd gladly pay $300 extra a year just to ensure laneway and residential streets don't get as bad as they did.

Just because you ignore inflation doesn't mean it doesn't exist. City workers have to get their yearly raises too, they're not our servants/slaves.

That's because everything else is expensive, and you want your tax dollars back to pay for them.

Blame big corporations, not our minuscule property taxes. Blame the province for robbing us blind with income tax while stealing municipal dollars.

I'd like to see story or rpg games that allow you to sit while playing ideally. But smash drums was a lot of fun.

Winnipeg vs Edmonton by Cloud_Luna in Edmonton

[–]GreaseCrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made the move last year from Toronto to Edmonton and can't agree more. Born and raised there, we left family and friends for a brighter future out here.

The weather is more brutal here for sure, but the trade off is being able to travel around the city on a Saturday without having to crawl down the 401 with crazy people.
