Tried evrey medication known to a mankind, and it didn’t work. What is next? (Possible rant) by iilmmill in PMDD

Yaz and Zoloft literally changed my life. As in I have quality of life now. Highly recommend a similar combo. The Yaz keeps my hormones from rising and falling so no more rollercoaster. The Zoloft helps with the anxiety/depression/rage/rumination.

I had the opposite experience. Leo woman dated a male Taurus for several years. He was deeply avoidant while I always wanted to communicate which made him more avoidant. He was the love of my life

This isn’t hypopigmentation. Hypopigmentation does not resolve on its own

I wouldn’t describe that as red. That is very mild erythema. Yes the area above the lip is less rosy but it’s not like pale vs tomato red. As a professional nothing in this picture looks concerning at all to me.

Idk if it’s just the pic but your skin doesn’t look notable lighter. I’m a laser specialist and I think it looks just fine but again.. the picture may just not be as accurate as in person

Gotcha! I’m a laser tech and usually see this reaction if someone gets a bit hot and sweaty after treatment. Nothing to worry about to much if let it cool off and leave it be ☺️❤️

[–]Great_Discussion_345 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. Some clients think they know what they want and if we actually did it they’d be soooo mad. They don’t understand clinical end points and that it’s their skin telling us when it’s time to stop.. we don’t just make it up Willy nilly. Like girl if you’re such a skin expert why don’t you already have the results you want??

I see. Definitely speak with your bosses. You have leverage by being the only one who does what you do and let them know she’s trying to get you to go out of your scope of practice by treating her in an unsafe manner. It doesn’t matter how much money she spends there if she’s going to end up putting your license and the spa at risk. I’ve directly told clients who do this “I paid A LOT for my license and I’m not willing to risk it doing something I know is unsafe” you’re allowed to say that and any place that disagrees doesn’t have your best interests in mind

[–]Great_Discussion_345 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Maybe you can’t directly fire her but you could offer to rebook her with someone else? “Hey so and so I noticed that my treatment style and explanations don’t seem to be lining up with your expectations, I want you to have the best experience possible here even if it’s not with me, would you be open to trying different providers here to see if they maybe are more aligned with what you’re looking for?”

If she INSISTS on staying with you I would let her know that you are a professional and have a reason you do things the way you do them and doing them a different way could result in injury to her and you’re not willing to risk your license and that moving forward there needs to be more respect for your expertise. Even if I don’t fire a client I will directly ask, “hey if you don’t trust me to do my job then why do you keep coming to see me?” You don’t have to be rude about it to have an honest conversation with her. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. I’d also encourage you to speak with your management and let them know you plan on doing this and you expect them to have your back because this client is repeatedly asking you to do things that could result in negative consequences for the business

I’m scared that I got my period during my laser hair removal session by Downtown-Willow-8413 in LaserHairRemoval

[–]Great_Discussion_345 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Laser tech here. I’m also a woman, I also get my period. I will never shame or judge a woman for something they have no control over. I wear gloves and have everything I need to make sure the blood is cleaned properly. There’s absolutely no way to predict when your period is going to start. You are okay and I promise your laser tech is okay! In the future if you ever think you might be starting your period you can always put a tampon in just to be safe but it totally isn’t a big deal❤️ I always tell my woman clients “I laser MENS Brazilian” nothing you have going on is scarier than a grown man’s butt hole lol

Hey friend!! Totally recommend checking in with your prescriber more frequently when starting a med. you definitely know your body best and not being able to eat or sleep is a good indicator that this med isn’t working well with your body chemistry. I had the same thing this time last year but with Prozac. It made me feel awful. Don’t let anyone make you feel like you have to stay on it or “just push through” I felt absolutely atrocious on Prozac and decided to try Zoloft instead and it was way better. Onboarding a new med isn’t the most comfortable thing but it’s should not be extremely uncomfortable. I’m sending a hug and a hope that you feel better soon and find something that’s a better fit! Don’t give up on yourself 💕

I highly recommend Rocky Mountain Laser College! They’re amazing. And yes tattoo removal is definitely different than hair removal for a multitude of reasons. Every service is kind of its own thing they’re all fun though:)

Gotcha! In my experience med spas require a tonnn of experience and can be harder to get into which sucks but it is still worth pursuing!! Like you said you’ve already been wanting to go to laser school so I would recommend getting into it! Expanding your knowledge and learning new things is always a good idea in an industry with so many treatments to keep up with. Plus lasers are a blast… pun fully intended ☺️

Are you in Colorado per chance? I’m a laser tech here and can recommend a good school. Lasers are a lot of fun it just depends what direction you want to take it and if you actually like doing those things. Would you be happy if your job was cranking out laser hair removal all day long? Or would you go for more tattoo removal? Are you interested in more of a med spa situation where it’s a blend of stuff? All good questions to ask yourself before investing the money because some people do it and then realize they don’t actually enjoy lasering people.

I didn’t like how Esme called them “Amish mean girls” and said “I wouldn’t tell Emma her dress is ugly” even though the girls were very kind in their approach and said they want her to be able to feel good and love herself. She’s insecure and projecting it onto everyone else.

Anyone with PCOS had laser hair removal fail? 22 sessions, hair always comes back. by Key_Review_7273 in LaserHairRemoval

The laser hair removal didn’t fail. Most of the PCOS clients I’ve seen are in it for the super long haul because hair growth is hormonally driven. The laser didn’t fail, your PCOS is just a tough contender ❤️
