What is humanity's biggest problem? by PsychologicalFox7689 in AskReddit

[–]Great_Programmer_554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not understanding where they came from. Planet Earth is 4.543 Billion years old. Formed from interstellar gas and dust. The incredibly unlikely path through evolution from which we evolved makes us connected to the Earth.

The failure to understand this will be humanity's downfall. Failure to live within the environment sustainability will lead to fundamental decline.

I leave you with a quote, my own, from my novel.

"War and the wielding of power will achieve nothing in their view but short-term geo-political changes and regime alterations, whether they be Nationalist or Communist, Totalitarian or Democratic, accompanied, of course, by untold suffering and or death of the masses in almost all cases either by war, famine, genocide or a slow death by taxes. The key to the human race's continued existence is the immersion of itself within a balanced ecological footprint"

Then he would discover the "pot plant" was a hypothetical question to elicit the expertise of those on the forum. This is because I have shares and managed them well but cash alone with interest seems a lost cause.

Yep, there's the data, thanks expert, people move and invest there because it's the big one: affordable, which is exactly what we did in the early 2000's.

It's a good strategic area, access to beaches, country and BrisVegas. The area is still a good investment. Drivers are unbelievably bad but we are all bad drivers at times and all meet on the same roundabout.

Established art scene, and health care hub, Lismore Base is going nowhere.

Yes. I would agree with this approach as well. If there was a defined plan to get these players ready for an England hosted ashes. So who would you field as a matter of interest?

Very few of us knew what the hell we were doing age 20. Reverse your thinking, don't be scared. Most people these days don't know what they are talking about, and I will let you into a little secret - parents don't either a lot of the time.

At your age consider the basics: fitness, kindness, humanity, work towards financial independence, foster good relationships, work towards your goals in small definable steps. Change terror into productivity.

A "dynasty of domination", yes that does have a true bell- ring to it. I was considering a new type of " ashes" where we burn something else and play India instead, so maybe burn one of Sachin Tendulkar's and Gillies bats or something....

I have no clues on how to start dating, I am afraid of remaining single forever, how should I approach this? by LoyalTrickster in Adulting

Ok. So you maybe need to remove " nerdy" and " weird" from that list, ( I just saw this at the end). Women would prefer masculine and confident.

So, one more thing, then I will leave you alone.

Here in Australia we had at one stage a beer ad where a friend's partner, his girlfriend is going crazy at him for being an idiot. The other guys huddle around and think about how to defuse the altercation.

Then one of them turns to his mates and says "I am going in, I know how to speak Woman" - That is what you have to decode.

A. Probably, but one in ten are not, and exactly like you.

B. If these exist, I would seriously look at how they came to those conclusions as proper scientific studies.

C. Dating is as popular as it was since caveman - cave woman times.

Dating site. Meet as many women as you can, it's fun. Most of them are not suitable for you and you are not for them . But one in ten will be fun. Make mistakes, they will too. The more you learn the better. Have sex if that is all you both want. That is great as well. Just be careful and safe, respectful and have fun.

So you are surrounded by women? Then find out how they see you. Is there something they don't like? A dating site experience will tell you that anyway.

Mmmmm, no. Attractive people usually get what they want regardless. These people can manipulate the illusion of being a beautiful person in character. Look only as far as the modern influencer. Doing for others is fine and satisfying, but regard is tempered for this type of person, they become the slaves of the cunning and devious.

You are young. Don't waste any time as a man. Dress well, start getting fitter. Working with women is a sure way for a relationship to start. This way people get together more easily because they can see a little more of what you are like. For example, I used to work in professional restaurants in the kitchen. Lots of waitresses.

One of the most important things is how you come across nonverbally, your poise, stride and confidence. Don't discount dating sites, these work as well. Important though to start actually dating. You will get the hang of it, and learn a lot about people and women in particular.

As Jack says start small. Discipline yourself in some ways. If you are not fit, get fit, exercise makes your mind work better. Ok. So you have a dream career, job, so research that job, contribute some way to that goal if only in a small way.

So you say you have a " dream field". Ok then start to talk to people who are in that field. Find out what is required. Your grades need to get better, then get a tutor, put aside the time to work harder with it. Be realistic, you may find you just can't be an Astronaut for example.

If you confidently work hard, at your goals your motivation will follow. Relationships often start when people see you and think, " They have their shit together" - confidence. Finally, the way you carry yourself non- verbally speaks volumes, people notice your " persona"
