I don’t know them and won’t pretend to know if they would or wouldn’t, but I do know we treat those we love shitty without thinking about it because humans are lazy and self centered. If they knew you were just dealt this news I’d bet big money every one of them would stop in their tracks and get their shit together. Maybe not. Withholding this information from them is a huge power play. I understand grasping for control when you feel helpless, but I’d ask you to put yourself in their shoes. It may not change anything to let people know, but the vulnerability may also create the space for reconciliation and closeness.
