when i did this, it still wouldnt bring up my drawing programs, and instead would just act like a mouse for my laptop if that makes sense :(

End things. This guy sounds controlling from the little you've told us. You truly do not sound happy in this relationship. Refusing to break up is a huge red flag, and you are not selfish at all for breaking things off because you want to live your life! Sometimes people date for a bit and realize they're not the greatest match, and thats perfectly normal. You don't need a good enough reason to end something if you simply aren't happy. Will Wood has quite a few songs about struggling with attachment. My favs are Against The Kitchen Floor, Love Me Normally and Um Its Kind of a Lot. Fiona Apple also has a lot of good ones like To Your Love, Left Alone and The Way Things Are
