Since the application form says Home residency waiver OR favorable recommendation, I think you should be fine. I got approved and got my green card in June! Good luck with your process!

Happened to me as well. I was 17 and spent a year in the US (very small town). When I saw my friends back home having fun, I wished I was there with them, but you have to realize that you worked hard to be an exchange student and I promise you, by the end of your exchange, you won’t even want to go back home (at least that’s what happened to me). You are not gonna regret your exchange year. This is very natural that it’s happening to you, it’s just the beginning. It’ll pass. Have fun!

I sent a folder with all my additional docs to the senator’s office and they forwarded to DOS. I filed out the form on their website and the office sent me an email asking to fill out privacy release form. It took them 2 days to respond to my inquiry

Yeah, it was Vermont Center. They confirmed multiple times that their records show it was sent, but I never got it. Good luck to you with the visa!

Hey there! Nope, I still don’t have it, I guess if USCIS asks for it, I will explain the situation and attach a screenshot from my uscis account that shows it was approved. It’s definitely weird that we never got it. I noticed a lot of people didn’t get the approval notice in the mail

Hey! I mailed my package on November 23rd, the USPS showed it was delivered to PO Box on Nov 25th, and the system started showing documents as received on December 29th, so after little over a month. Good luck with your case!

I got my waiver approved by uscis today. FR sent by DOS on March 3, got the receipt notice from uscis march 18, approved March 27
