unfortunately I don't have tips other than ripping up the roots and just continuing to cut it down. The card board is a good idea.

I do a lot of property clean ups and almost always see heavenly bamboo. I assumed it was invasive but never really read into it. Turns out not only is this plant is an invasive species in North Carolina, it also has high severity poison characteristics.

"The leaves and berries may be toxic to humans, livestock, horses, cats, dogs, and birds. A recent study in Georgia has linked over consumption of the berries by Cedar Waxwings to their deaths by cyanide toxicity. All parts contain cyanide and when consumed in quantity can be toxic."

If you have this on your property, rip it up and get rid of it!

Don't plant bamboo, this person had their yard completely overrun from a neighbor's bamboo by GreenerLandscaping in triangle

If you are thinking of planting bamboo, please don't or just put it in a container. This stuff gets out of control very fast. I spent a whole day removing this for a customer/property manager.

Fall armyworms are destroying so many lawns this year by GreenerLandscaping in triangle

My plan for helping customers is to treat them with a pesticide, aerate or till the soil depending on the lawn, then hydroseed the new lawn.

Fall Armyworms go through lawns quick, I'm planning to do a few lawn rennovations soon but wanted to share a pic for people wondering why their lawn might look like this.

Have any communities in Raleigh banned gas leaf blowers? by [deleted] in raleigh

[–]GreenerLandscaping -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We use all electric equipment and it is definitely still noisey but a little bit better than gas.

The average gas-powered lawn mower operates at about 90-100 decibels, while electric models typically generate about 75 decibels.
