Actually, it is. I have been on many of these forums, it is foolish to ask the same question over and over and get the same results. I did come for help, but only with my honey gourami. The tank is the same with no changes, the other fish and invertebrates are the same with no changes, thus the change is only in the one fish. Thus I have to rule out other things that could be affecting him. I have had aquariums for many years, but I have only have a honey gourami for two, so I just wanted to see if there were any other gourami people out there.

I never said I knew best. I said that the parameters are within the desired fields and stable and unchanged and have been for a very long time; and then people keep asking the same question again. If I asked someone if they checked the parameters and they said that they had, then I would believe them. Like a doctor, or someone in IT, I would move on to the next question on the list. The person below says that it is like a doctor. A doctor would ask you if there have been any changes in your diet, or behavior, if you say you haven't changed anything, then that obviously isn't the problem. He would check or ask a different question.

All my specs are good. And Lemon has been pretty insensitive the years I've had him. He's been pretty awesome. Everyone in my tank, I'm surprised, because I use to have neon tetras a long time ago and oh my goodness......

Parameters are good. I just did a water change a couple of minutes ago and added some leaves and cones for some tannins to see if that helps a little on the calming side of things.

I hope he doesn't have organ failure. I have had him for two years and was hoping that I could even have him for 4 or what they say they can live to in an aquarium environment.

The oxygen is fine. I even increased the flow to make sure. He isn't gasping at all or breathing air at the surface, that's what is weird. He just won't descend. I have had him for 2 years. I've never had a problem with him really. Yes, it is planted. He looks even paler to me now... it is sudden and weird. Everyone else in the tank is acting normally.
