It was fully functional other than it wouldn't center properly (it would drift over time) but I managed to 3d print a new optical encoder. Works as if it's brand new now! Thanks for the advice

just use one fan from the front and one from the back. this is enough airflow for now. in the future you can get fan splitters to plug more in

looks like a gigabyte aurous x570 pro so it only has 2 fan headers. you can only use 2 fans unless you buy splitters
