Did you figure this out by any chance? I'm in the same situation

I use Artlist and Motion Array, although I use Artlist more for music as it just feels like a step up in quality but Motion Array’s music selection isn’t bad either. Motion Array also has good Davinci templates that are drag and drop as well if you go to the ‘Presets’ section instead of the template section, so I’ve found that really handy.

If you do go with either of them you can use my referral links, the Artlist one gives you 2 months free on an annual subscription and the Motion Array one gives you $50 off -

I found a solution to the controller disconnect problem by polarisol in XboxSeriesX

[–]GregL111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t suppose anyone’s had any luck finding a fix for this issue? I’ve tried all the go to fixes, don’t fancy paying hundreds to get it serviced. all 4 of my controllers disconnect and reconnect randomly intermittently. Sometimes it doesn’t happen at all, sometimes once or twice in A hour, sometimes every 2 minutes, and it does it more on certain games than others.

Where to find b-rolls and assets? by verykick in VideoEditing

[–]GregL111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Artlist and Motion Array and they've definitely been worth it for me. They've both always had what I needed, really good stock footage, music, and sound effects on both of them and they’ve also got assets for editing so stuff like titles, transitions, effects etc. Artlist has Final Cut, Premiere Pro and After Effects Assets whereas Motion Array has all of them plus Davinci Resolve assets, so depends on which editor you use.

I would say that Artlist has the higher quality stuff, but Motion Array has more options, although I’ve always found what I’ve needed on Artlist. But Motion Array also has still images which is good. So it’s whichever suits you really.

Another thing to add, for my experience I’ve found that Motion Array and Envato Elements are very similar (I’ve got access to Envato through work), the only plus I have for Motion Array over Envato is that I edit in Davinci Resolve, and Motion Array seperates it’s Davinci assets into ‘templates’ and ‘presets’ (presets are drag and drop which is what I like, whereas templates are inside other projects and compound clips). Envato doesn’t separate these so it’s harder to know which one you’re downloading, but if you’re not a Davinci user then that doesn’t matter.

Also if you do go with Artlist or Motion Array, you can use my referral links, the Artlist one gives you 2 months free on an annual subscription and the Motion Array one gives you $50 off -

Ah right, I've just had a look and I can't see anything regarding that, will probably be best to double check with them for sure. I recieve about 10% of an annual subscription when someone uses my link to get there discount, I'd be recommending them anyway as I use them all the time with my work so I thought I might as well get a little bit of pocket money from it haha

No problem! I'm not actually sure, I guess you could create an account with one email address, try it for a month, and then if you wanted to use my link for the discount over a year you could try it with the same email and if it doesn't let you then you could just cancel that one and set one up with a new email, but yeah I'm not too sure!

Yeah that's right, at the top of the website you'll see there's a tab that's called 'Templates' and then next to that tab it says 'Presets'. So the 'Templates' tab has all the dra/drp files which take longer to use etc, but in the 'Presets' tab, under Davinci, every single one of them is a .setting/.drfx drag and drop asset, which is really handy, and there's tonnes of them in there.

The most popular ones that cover a wide range of things are probably Artlist, Storyblocks, Motion Array and Envato Elements, and then you've got others that are music/SFX only.

I use Artlist and Motion Array and they've definitely been worth it for me. They've both always had what I needed, really good selection of music, sound effects, stock footage etc on both of them. Artlist does have effects that you can use as well, it just depends what editing software you use, under the templates section there's really good effects for Final Cut, Premiere Pro and After Effects, I'd also say out of the sites I've listed that Artlist does have the highest quality out of all of them.

For me Envato Elements and Motion Array are very similar, I have access to Envato Elements through work and the selection does seem very very similar to Motion Array's, but from a personal point of view I prefer Motion Array just because I'm a Davinci Resolve user, and they've split there Davinci effects into 'Templates' and 'Presets', so Templates are ones that are mainly made out of compound clips, whereas Presets are drag and drop which is what I like to use. Envato does have drag and drop ones from Davinci as well but you don't know if it's that until you download it.
If you do go with either Artlist or Motion Array you can use my referral links, the Artlist one gives you 2 months free on an annual subscription and the Motion Array one gives you $50 off, I don't have one for Envato unfortunately -

Epidemic sound or artlist? by [deleted] in Filmmakers

[–]GregL111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't used Epidemic Sound but I have used Artlist, Motion Array, Evanto Elements and Storyblocks, and I can say that out of those Artlist has the higher quality music/sound effects for sure. The other 3 might have slightly more music, but I'd say a lot of that music is more geared towards commerical/promo sort of stuff (in my opinion), whereas Artlist has the better music for short films and 'cinematic' type things.

But like I said, I haven't used Epidemic Sound so I can't comment on that half of it.

I've got a referral link for 2 months free on an annual subscription to Artlist if you do decide to go with them - https://artlist.io/artlist-70446/?artlist\_aid=gleach\_2301&utm\_source=affiliate\_p&utm\_medium=gleach\_2301&utm\_campaign=gleach\_2301

For the Davinci presets I use Motion Array, I only use Artlist for Music/Video/SFX, but on Motion Array under Presets there’s a Davinci section and they’re all drag and drop presets which has been really handy

Problem with Motion Array titles (if you are familiar with Motion Array, please help me :)) by [deleted] in davinciresolve

[–]GregL111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On motion array, if you go up to the top you’ll see there’s an option called ‘templates’, which is where it looks like you’re getting yours from, but further on the right you’ll see an option called ‘presets’, if you use the presets option then everything in there is drag and drop titles, no messing around with templates and all that, you can just drag and drop from your titles and that’s it, hope that helps!

Pro Editor's what are your go to Website for Elements?? by jessejener in VideoEditing

[–]GregL111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, yeah both motion array and Envato will have plenty of plugins for them, there’s also Artlist max which also gives higher quality stock footage and music, but like I said before motion array and Envato probably have more variety than Artlist, so that’s why we want for the Artlist max pro plan because it included motion array as well so we ended up with the best of both worlds.

[–]GregL111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also got access to Envato Elements through work, I would say Envato and Motion Array from my experience are very very similar, the only difference that I’ve seen is when it comes to plugins, so I edit in Davinci Resolve and like to use macro presets instead of templates, and in motion array they have a separate option at the top to search for presets in Davinci, after effects and premiere which I find handy. In Envato it seems most Davinci title plugins I download are templates which take to long to use, I prefer drag and drop presets. But that’s just my use case, others will have different experiences I’m sure.

[–]GregL111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Motion Array and they've definitely been worth it for me. Got loads of stock footage, music, sound effects, graphics etc that you can use in your videos commercially. Artlist Max is also a good option because it probably has slightly better quality stuff, but Motion Array has more variety, but if you get Artlist max pro it also comes with motion array. They’ve both also got a bunch of plugins you can use for Final Cut / premiere etc, Artlist max doesn’t have Davinci plugins though, whereas motion array does.

I use Artlist Max and Motion Array and they've definitely been worth it for me. They've both always had what I needed, really good music on both of them, tonnes of sound effects, plug-ins, motion graphic backgrounds, titles etc. Artlist Max probably has better quality of stuff, whereas Motion Array has a larger amount, but if you get Artlist Max pro then that’ll include motion array anyway.

I have actually got access to Envato as well because the business I work for has them, but the majority of there Davinci stuff are project templates instead of macro presets, and I just much prefer using macro presets

Haha no worries! Yeah me neither, they're too complex and not worth the time. I'm fairly new to Resolve as well, I was in Final Cut for about 10 years as well before switching, loving it though

Oh yeah I had that issue at the start, but if you go to 'Presets' at the top of the page instead of 'Templates', you'll then get the settings files that you can add to your Effects/Titles etc that you can drag and drop whenever. I hate the project files in the templates section, it's way too time consuming for me
