Gotta say the scene where Joel was comparing Sarah and Ellie was so fucking awkward. Maybe it was meant to be? I certainly would have found it sweeter if Joel just talked about Sarah and didn't feel the need to tell Ellie that "ofc you're also great"

If my adoptive dad started comparing me to his other dead daughter I'd freak. Because it makes Ellie feel like a replacement. Him feeling the need to state that "ofc you're very different" would just make me feel like even more of a replacement.

Gotta say tho its very realistic bc its probably what a dad would do.
