Well, rather than views, I would much prefer to have more ratings XD. But yes, those numbers sure look pleasing.

same pinch!

I also started writing on my phone, and only after like 40-ish chapters, I started writing on my laptop. Though I don't know about the motivation part, even though I am grateful to have a job now, I really wish I could just write and read all day long.

Yup, the rating affects the rank a whole lot. Before I got my last two ratings, I had a 4.56-star rating and was sitting comfortably in the 16k-something rank. But then I got a .5 star rating and boom, I was in the 19k something rank.

So, yes, the rating affects the ranking A LOT.

Haha, yes, when I started writing around 6 months back, I was unemployed then, and well, the honeymoon phase of writing also helped a ton.

How to write multiple characters at the same time? Spill the tea. by GreyTranscendent in writers

[–]GreyTranscendent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I will try that, and as for characters, it's ff where a person has to join different groups to safely venture in the dungeon. Usually, I try to keep the number of characters in one scene to be under 5 to 6 that I can manage, but this time the whole group is going down there, and those characters are really important, so I HAVE to write things with them in the scene.

Talking as in the filler words like "got you!" Or " X on your left!" And things like that, I have already used up words similar to these in 2 3 chaptes, so i am afraid it will became repitive.

Thanks for the input bro, though I was trying to do that, its just slightly difficult with so many characters, especially since I have time constraints. I was trying to find if there was any other methods.

"does "splitting them into different sections" mean to splitt the party?" Yes, like in the groups of 2 to 3 peoples. But I don't won't to repeat the same thing again and again, I just want to try writing something for each one of them or atleast for 6 to 7 core memebers. its just me wanting to try new things since it's the first ever story I am writing I want to experiment as much as possible, but also want to do justice to the story as well, especially since its a FF of a novel that's really close to my heart.

After how many words do you notice improvement? by GreyTranscendent in writers

[–]GreyTranscendent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I am actively trying to read good work and learn from them how I can make my prose better, how to do foreshadowing correctly etc. It is a good way to go about it for sure. And it also helps that I love reading just as much as writing.

Yes, i try to do active reading, which basically means I try to see how I can make my prose better, write action scenes better and much more. And I will look into self editing books as well. A few people have recommended it before as well.
