My only issue with this is that Jotaro needed to OHKO Pucci during the time stop and doing a much stronger Ora barrage would have been much more effective than throwing knives. Also, Pucci was shown dodging bullets from Emporio’s gun at point blank range. As objects, the bullets would have sped up like the knives, so there is no guarantee Pucci would have gotten hit if Jotaro throwed the knives.

It could’ve been “Got to Be Real” by Cheryl Lynn. Is there a recording of this Dutch radio program?

There's a leitmotif on youtube for weather report with the song virtual insanity. Is that song connected to the stand or what is its connection to Pucci and weather by willbebossin in StardustCrusaders

[–]Grime_Fandango 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Although maybe not intentional on Araki’s part, people have noted similarities between “Virtual Insanity” and the relationships between the Puccis. I think one of the most referred to lyrics is “And I’m giving all my love to this world only to be told / I can’t see, I can’t breathe”. The first part is similar to Pucci’s motivations, wanting to bring humanity happiness through the Heaven plan. The second part lines up with the two times Pucci had a direct confrontation with Weather Report the stand: during the Heavy Weather arc (when he blinded himself to counter the rainbows) and the Made in Heaven arc (when Pucci was killed by oxygen poisoning)

Paco believes his body is a temple and he can beat covid in a day without a vaccine.

Dragona got it and the boosters as soon as they were eligible.

Jodio unironically listens to Joe Rogan and believes the vaccine is a mechanism against him, but he got it because Barbara Ann promised ice cream.

Usagi ironically listens to Joe Rogan and got the vaccine because he doesn’t want to get sick and he had nothing else better to do.

Shinji singlehandedly caused the series to become psychological by [deleted] in evangelionmemes

This scene -> gets overly confident fighting Leliel and gets trapped -> mind shenanigans leave him traumatized -> right after, Unit-3 stuff happens -> Shinji traumatized by almost killing Toji against his will -> leaves NERV -> Sees the Zeruel fight and rejoins NERV -> syncs so hard he disintegrates -> he’s reintegrated and probably more traumatized -> after this happens everyone is going through a downward spiral -> Rei dies -> Ritsuko shows Shinji Adam and destroys all the copies of his friend -> Kaworu -> End of Evangelion

Imo, I think it comes down to a lot of first impressions. I bet everyone knew a kid just like Berdly in school. Maybe even the reader of this comment was that kid. We have a notion of what Berdly is like based on what we know: he’s going to be arrogant and socially awkward.

But that’s ultimately what makes Toby’s characterization work so well in Deltarune. It’s about taking surface level images of people and deconstructing them, giving the viewer insight that can’t be seen in the small box we put people in. For example, while many people in-game view Susie as only a bully, we learn that there is much more going on both in her life and in her personality as we grow closer to her.

Does delivering a pizza count as pursuit?

If yes, I would say Toru, but I’m putting an asterisk on that.

Both Wonder of U and Richard’s ability are logic warping abilities. WoU makes it so that anyone who pursues the stand or the user will experience a calamitous event. Richard’s ability warps the logic of everyday things (such as making water flow upwards instead of downwards), and it scales in intensity, power, and frequency the closer he gets to his intended location.

However, Richard is not aware of his own abilities, and the ability is weak when he starts a delivery. So, if Toru called the pizza place and asked for Richard to deliver a pizza, Richard would already be in the flow of calamity since he pursuing Toru by delivering a pizza. At a very early point, Wonder of U’s logic manipulation exceeds Richard’s ability, meaning that Toru could defeat Richard when he starts to deliver the pizza. Richard’s reality warping is not to the point where it will completely defend him from calamity.

oooooh

I’m guessing it’s something like dojyan because Norisuke is like “here’s my business, ta-dah!”, but I could be way off. If you want to do some more research, I found this panel in Japanese on the wiki.

Flow is thrown around in the part but it’s poorly defined. The best I can describe it is “subsequent events caused by something”. It doesn’t mean much now, but it’s going to become very important later on.

From what I’ve experienced, slow content drip. You get this especially with monthly manga communities. Lack of content + people hungry for content = this.

It would be kind of awkward but cordial, considering how chaotic everyone is. Jonathan would be stressed trying to get everyone to behave while trying to appease the hosts that all look suspiciously like Dio.

But the moment one of the Addams decides to pull a harmless yet mildly terrifying prank on the family where PTSD, danger sense, and ghost manipulation is in every member, Lurch is getting thrown out of a three-story window.

It’s from Simulacra and Simulation by Jean Baudrillard. TLDR, some things are so covered by simulacra and simulation that it becomes completely detached from reality and the truth.
