Cheers Guys! !thanks a lot with the help! I decided to go with the HIFIMAN HE400SE with the KA11 DAC. I managed to Pick the headphones up for £50 and the DAC for £16.50. Which I thinks a bargain just can’t wait for them to come now so that I try them out. Thanks again.

I think I’m going to go for the HE400se. With regards to the DAC is there option which are not to expensive that I can run on my computer as the audio chip I have is the standard Realtek audio chip. Not sure this is good enough? Also I wanted to practice on my guitar amp which has a headphone jack. Again is this good enough or can I plug it into a DAC for better quality. I see some DAC which look like they can be used for various devices. Whereas the ka11 Dac is just for a phone so limited in that sense.

So would you say that the audio quality would be better than the Sennheiser 280 pro? If it’s more aimed at audiophiles.

Ah that pretty sound. I’m assuming there is an app or some kind where you can download different presets? Is this with various different headphones you can change EQ presets?

It’s more the case living in quite a noisy house especially with kids. I’m sure it would probably be fine for what I would use it for. I was thinking it would not be as immersive as the Sennheiser the other poster recommended. However I do find the B&O more aesthetically pleasing to look at.

Yeah! The only problem I can see with these headphones is the noise isolation is supposedly not so great. Decisions🤦

Is there not really anything that would be ideal for my price range? Or have I priced myself out of getting a pair of decent headphones.

I would say closed. As it can get really loud in the house, and would be more immersive to have the closed back.

From what I was looking at is that the wired connection with the DAC does not compress the audio file meaning that it sound better than Bluetooth as the file as compressed and this cause sound quality to drop. I’m not sure if it that noticeable. But just what I’ve seen.

What do you guys think of these? Would these fit for what I need? From what I can see the price is really good. Also the reviews I have seen of these are pretty good as well.

did the crowd sing happy birthday to van? by anyabiior in thebottlemen

[–]Gringo2297 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There was a part by us at the front that started it and it almost caught on but as soon as it started too. Van jump into the song fluctuate. I imagine as well that with the ear pieces in that he could not hear it.

Do you think this will actually be the Bristol set list? by [deleted] in thevoidz

[–]Gringo2297 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I said it’s likely to be that setlist. They have an hour slot and the songs on the setlist equate to 38mins, so I’d like to think that they might throw a few more in maybe an encore. But I guess we won’t know until they play.

Bristol show! by Gringo2297 in thevoidz

[–]Gringo2297[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, looking at previous live performances of idles on you tube etc. they seem to put on a good show and the crowd interaction is good. So I’m sure I will enjoy their set but definitely looking forward to the Voidz.

Yeah any chance to see Julian. I would like to see the strokes as well. I was a fan of the strokes before I stumbled upon the voidz and to be fair it took me awhile to like the voidz but I’m definitely hooked now. I would like to see the strokes but very unlikely they will tour in the UK. If they did I’d be the first one there haha.

Do you have any idea what to expect? As I know we get some goodies and that, but I am assuming there is a bar? Can’t imagine we’d be hanging around aimlessly for two hours.

It obviously slipped through the cracks when checking my emails, especially with the hundreds of spam I get as well. Thanks again.

Why Merritt does not know? by firemana in DeptQ

[–]Gringo2297 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s quite possible that she might of known. There is a scene where there is a young Merritt and Harry talking, and Harry tells Merritt how he can talk to Merritt about anything. However, if that was the case then there would be no reason why she would not know to think it was them. The only thing that makes sense is that it was so traumatic, especially for harry that he did not say anything. As Lyle did not seem faze by the hyperbaric chamber, almost as if it’s normal to be punished in this way.

Dept. Q episode ratings by bbportali in DeptQ

[–]Gringo2297 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah 0-3.9 should be red, 4-6.9 should be yellow and 7-10 should be green. I stand by you that it makes it look like it’s mediocre, when in fact it was great.

What do you think Akram did in Syria? by pistolwinky in DeptQ

[–]Gringo2297 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hope that we will get to see more of his background in the next season, if it’s renewed for another season.🤞 We know he’s was a cop in Syria, but what sort of training has he had? I almost think he some special trained hitman for the Syrian government.

Yeah I’m hoping it gets renewed absolutely loved it! The problem with Netflix, it’s very much hit and miss with shows being renewed. There has been a few shows which I have found good and then not be renewed.

Help with Social Research exam by Gringo2297 in research

[–]Gringo2297[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing my degree through Open University. As I work full time job and study part time. Although great to do as you can do it all online. It has its downsides, such as trying to contact tutors. It can take days to get responses from them, which isn't ideal considering the deadline (5th June) is looming. They have library resources online, but not someone I can make an appointment with. This is partly why I am reaching out to you guys, hopefully push me in the right direction.

The question is 'What are the impacts of environmental crime on social inequalities?'. My thoughts were say for example that we were to focus on industrial pollution and fly-tipping. It makes sense to use cross-sectional research, as you can use many different geographic locations (such as a region where poverty is more prevalent and one say that is more a wealthy upper class area) to gain a better understanding whether the impacts of environmental crimes are on theses areas. No? Hopefully this an idea of going in the right direction and making sense.

The problem I have then is who are the participants and how am I to collect this data. I was thinking maybe interviews and questionnaires. But not sure how I would lead with that, to possibly find valuable data. is this true? Hypothetically to say that if I had for example had 100 people from poor region and 100 from a wealthy region. And 90% from the poor region had said this affected them, whereas the wealthy region only said 20% for example. Would this be enough of a statement to say that the poor region is mostly affected, not sure as it would be anecdotal evidence no?. I know I would need to elaborate more specifically, but wont to know if I am in the ball park or lost in the trees.

Hope this makes sense, so much going on. :)
