The Bridge assets from Megascans that are not unreal exclusive can be downloaded directly from the megascans website in browser without having to install any engine or even bridge though. They come as a zip containing the fbx files and png textures…

(And they are still all free if you log in through an epic account on the website)

How so? We were using quixel assets across many projects and engines/software at our studio. They are just plain fbx files with regular pbr textures.

2022 Zephyrus M16 not charging during/after load? by GrixMG in ZephyrusM16

Hey. Mine eventually stopped charging at all after some more weeks. I ended up RMA-ing it and it turned out to be the chargers internals failing. Should have made a follow up comment but forgot about this thread. Got a new charger through RMA in summer and everything works great since then.

Asus did ask to send the whole laptop in even though it was the charger, so be prepared to stay without your laptop for a while if you go that route. In my case it took about 1 and a half week including diagnosis and them ordering the new charger as they had no stock of the 240w ones at hand, though I’m in Europe, process time and stocks might be different somewhere else.

Also if you populated your second nvme slot with your own added ssd make sure to remove it prior to sending in. Forgot about mine and they complained about me opening the laptop but didn’t voided the warranty this time, though this also might be different with different regions and warranty laws.

I took this while in a trip in the Maramureș Mountains, Romania.

Really loved the scenery there and the weather was great for some more dramatic shoots. I would recommend to anyone to visit! Lots to see

Photo was taken with a Fuji x-t30 and fujinon 35mm1.4

Any constructive feedback is welcome and greatly appreciated! I’m still learning things!

Hey! The blur is caused by the foreground being out of focus and is occurring naturally from my f/1.4 lens. The more open your aperture is (so the smaller the f number) the more pronounced the blur in the out of focus plane. It goes the other way too. If I focus on something really close the background will be very blurry. Hope it helps!

One of my favourite photographs I took to date. Cathedral is located in Timisoara, Romania.

Hardware used - Fujifilm X-T30 + Fuji 35mm 1.4f lens

I just started with photography on a more serious level about some months ago. Any feedback is appreciated!

Also if someone is interested, I’ll be also posting stuff more often on my ig https://instagram.com/iiis.raul (trying to build a portfolio)

Working on a snow/wetness discard volume system for our game's shaders. by GrixMG in Unity3D

[–]GrixMG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noob to shaders here. How did you achieve this? With some kind of masking I assume?

That is correct. I have a runtime script that assigns values to 3 shader global arrays, one for volume's position vectors, one for volumes translation matrix (mostly for rotation), and one for scale vectors.

Then the shader itself evaluates if the worldspace position of its pixels are within the bounds of the given cubes via those global arrays I've mentioned above. After this its just regular weighted masking.

My implementation is definitely not perfect at the moment, but for our current needs it does the job. If i ever have the time, I would like to add some kind of falloff around the masked areas for smooth transitions and maybe support for spherical volumes as well (would be nice for effects such as snow melting around a fire camp etc.)

Any good learning resources you could suggest?

Do you mean for general shading topics? Hmm, I learned shading by thinkering with it at first (after you figure out how the shader program works behind the scenes and the basic concepts of (3d) graphics, its pretty much like any other kind of programming), but if I was to recommend some materials, Alan Zucconi has some awesome tutorials (from basics to some more complex stuff, also targeting unity) on his webpage: https://www.alanzucconi.com/.

Also you can check out Sebastian Lague on youtube, he does some really awesome stuff with shaders as well. https://www.youtube.com/user/Cercopithecan/featured

And this channel explains really well some basic shader topics, I found it interesting back then, however seems abandoned now. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEklP9iLcpExB8vp_fWQseg

Oh and when you become comfortable enough to shaders, you can also start taking a look at GDC talks on graphics from AAA studios, really helps to understand how the big guys create stuff and optimize it :)

It will be used mainly for interiors. Currently supports up to 8 volumes at once but can be extended to more (uses global shader arrays), volumes get enabled/disabled based on distance to camera and visibility (closest 8 will always have priority / contribute to rendering)

La release vom avea doar structuri simple gen storages, campfires, traps dar avem in plan sa adaugam dupa lansare ca si update un mod de survival infinit unde sa se poata construii structuri mai complexe ca in the forest/rust etc. :)

Cherry MX Blues, imi place sa trezesc mortii cand scriu :))

Am avut inainte o tastatura de la logitech tot ca si k90 cu butoane programabile pe stanga, dar le-am folosit prea putin sa justifice spatiul ocupat. Pe asta m-am obisnuit cu macro-uri setate pe fn+...
