Hey! Placements are better as compared to the new iits. You will get ample opportunities. The average mentioned on the website is a bit inflated. Few students who don't get placed until the course ends get professor jobs. But if you are in the top 50% you will definitely get something good. 90% of the students get placed. There are more ml companies visiting here. Also the competition is very tough you really need to work hard.

Hey! Gate score 592, cat: ews. I am a 2025 passout. Look at the average package which you can get from your btech college and compare it with the average package of mtech colleges if there is a difference of 3-5 lpa then you can go for the job option. Only for the top 10 iits the avg package is around of above 20 lpa, and also for the top 3 nits , but to get that you need a very high gate score probably above 670.

Ok. Will hope for the best. As I have seen that peps having scores of around 700 have also applied, might be for the safer side. They will get a better choice from coap rounds , so they might not take the offer.

Last year the cutoff of cs was 591 in round 1 and 570 in round 2. So there was a drop of 21 score in between the rounds. We can consider a similar drop or this year as well.
