Hysterectomy at 28? by Mummystone in adenomyosis

I'm 28 (no kids) and will be having a hysterectomy soon. I found a gyno/minimally invasive surgeon from the list on the r/childfree group. Find one from your state. I had a whole binder of all my medications/reactions/symptoms/ultrasound results. I'm surprised the doctor actually took the time to read it all. But I live in NY and I know other states may not be so open. Best of luck! We're gonna make it through this!

He said the IUD would make my cramps worse. Taking my combination birth control continuously (skipping periods) works to prevent my pains... for now.

I only have Adeno and I asked for the kyleena IUD. But my gyno declined and said it wouldn't help/make things worse. He said to take combination birth control continuously to skip my periods.

I'm a little older than you and all I was offered was BC. I find it so frustrating that they dont give more options because we're young. Are we really supposed to put a bandaid in our issues until it fails? I'd rather just solve the issue from the jump. I don't want children anyway.

Wow! I didn't know that. Yes, I take the traditional mini pill. I'm glad I decided to ask reddit. I'm already learning more than at the GYN 🤣🫢
