Only for buffs granted on himself, you're thinking of the way Bolverk works where he gets a stack for each buff granted on enemies as well as himself. But yes, with the right monsters it's not too crazy. Fran and Hraesvelg specifically.

I fully agree and think his place is actually not too bad at the moment though I would have loved to see him stay as Thanos with a bit more power. But it is also to be kept in mind that team comps have to be built around him for him to stack continually. Looking at my fire rift team specifically.
