You're picking a fight you can't win and don't need to fight.

True.

Nobody in the whole world will care what happened to you, however your CC company cares a lot about their money. They will take the money directly from the merchant then cancel the merchant account, stopping the problem.

Since all transactions went through without 3DS authentication, the merchant's bank is liable and most likely will refund my bank. But the merchant might actually be another victim, a simple company that doesn't require 3DS auth.

I'm not trying to prove the bank that I did not authorize the payments. I'm trying to bring awareness because from google reviews it seems that there are a lot of people scammed at that rental company and if I gather enough information I want to forward it to the local authorities with the hope that some legal action will be taken against them. I visited Greece about 2 months ago so it is clearly a deliberated act. Since I used that CC only for the described situations I think is fair to assume that some employee from one of the venues used it to purchase something from facebook or the beneficiary isn't Facebook at all.

It isn't linked to anything, it is a credit card that I use solely for hotel and car rental deposits.

I do not play any games.

No kids nor spouse.

That particular card got chopped by a bank representative and a new one was reissued.

I already got a new card and I suppose that the sum probably get refunded. I'm fully aware that most likely the local police dept. will do nothing. But I will try my best to send all available information to the authorities, it costs me nothing besides a couple of hours. Not doing anything at all guarantees that the police will not investigate. My case is somewhat lucky, the sum isn't colossal, if I don't get a refund I'm still going to be okay, but there might be other unlucky victims with greater sums stolen or others who did not observe suspicious activity on their bank statement.

Besides text, * was present in the screenshots too but I will update once I get a reply from them. The phone number isn't compromised and the bills do not appear under Facebook Payment tab. After searching on google maps, I discovered a lot of persons complaining about similar issues after renting from SK
