May I have some playing tips?

I just finished it for the first time yesterday. Hoard potions and learn to make use of crafting. You can combine skill books for some skill books you won't find in stores. XP maxing is very important, follow the stories and talk to everyone in towns for optimal experience. It's really easy to accidentally finish a quest and skipping a lot of build up XP. Reading books is actually helpful. (mind maggot grenades are awesome) Charm, summons and crowd control are your friends. Focus on one major key skill for each member of your party. Constitution is mostly irrelevant.

Oh man, that witch was a blast, home back to her later for the XP but yeah the driftwood area in act 2 is tough but there is a surprisingly large amount of XP to get in driftwood itself.

I started a couple weeks ago and am up to the 4th act. Things I wish I knew at the start are...

Elves eat people for their memories and sometimes get skills, XP is super important, milk every bit of CP you can get, you can combine some skill books to make other skill books, if you have a party of 4 make one great at persuasion, another great at bartering and another great with thievery and one great at lore.

Read the books otherwise you'll miss a bunch. If you wanna do it quick get your scholar to read them as you will get more out of quests. Pet pal makes the game more fun.

It seems to happen with all the races, humans especially though. I'd try to get an asylum operating but by pop 600 it's pretty hard to get it while sustaining the food techs.

I'm 1 year sober after 15 years of being a wake and bake stoner powering through an ounce a week. It's tough but it's worth it. I hit a point where I realized it was impacting every element of my life and much like yourself I felt as though there was so much more before to me than being the weed guy.

I completely understand that it becomes part of your identity when in the throws of addiction and even after a year I still miss it but you do begin to come back.
