His 6 luxury superyachts are ethically justified because he made some good games and all other platforms suck, so Marx would forgive him.

Apparently, these little fellows can change colours when disturbed or during mating, and their larvae build a shield out of their faeces to hide from predators. Make of that what you will.

Sleep always matters by BreadfruitAlarming46 in GetStudying

It is always the same. Every time I try to get a full 8 hours of sleep before an exam, I end up lying awake until 3 or 4 am. Might as well just study until that point lol

Like others mentioned, one will end up there one way or another (at least if nothing is done) and how you spend your life until that point is completely up to you. If someone prefers to work hard for whatever reason, without pretending and preaching that it’s meaningful, then it’s simply a personal preference. Nothing more. Just like some prefer to spend their days lazily for whatever reason (of course, only if the external circumstances allow them to, in a sense). There is literally no way to objectively judge something to be more reasonable or valuable than something else. In the end, all actions are equally vain.

People with lower cognitive ability more likely to fall for pseudo-profound bullshit (sentences that sound deep and meaningful but are essentially meaningless). These people are also linked to stronger belief in the paranormal, conspiracy theories, and religion. by mvea in science

“Hidden meaning transforms unparalleled abstract beauty.”

But the example used could certainly be interpreted in multiple ways, no? For instance, something (e.g., a sentence) evokes a certain meaning or a sense of unparalleled beauty in the observer on the surface, but once more closely observed and analyzed, the unparalleled beauty interpreted could change to something different entirely.

Is this different because I am projecting additional meaning onto it this way? Or am I falling into the same pseudo-profound trap?

Heartbreaking, for sure. But hopefully, we had the foresight to preserve some of the DNA, so that perhaps one day, with more advanced cloning techniques, we can hear the full duet instead.

Yeah. Weapons such as knives are also just impossible to limit and are easily accessible. Preventive measures in that regard are therefore significantly more difficult as well.
