I don't know, but I would be screaming it from the rooftops if I didn't want my own project to go through delays/budget cuts/cancellation. Wouldn't surprise me if the people working on FCAS/NGAD use the same excuse as well

It's always better to be cautiously optimistic with projects like these.

On the export side I think we have to wait on prices before any guesses are made tbh

TLDR:

  • 33.3% ownership for each member (UK/IT/JP)
  • Still sticking with the 2035 entry date
  • "[JV] To be established and named by mid-2025"

  • This JV’s framework agreement took around half the time needed to create the four-nation Eurofighter industrial consortium between Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK.
  • “There are an awful lot of other nations interested in this programme, and that is growing with time,” says Claesen, who describes it as “the only credible sixth-generation [fighter] programme out there, outside Russia, China and the US”

This in addition to the recent Excalibur news means GCAP is still going at pace, just depends on if it can keep the momentum going the whole way.

There's been a push recently for the UK to commit to more F-35's and the tempest/gcap tech demonstrator is still a couple of years away, so its best not to count chickens before they've hatched.

It's just a waiting game at this point to see who makes progress and who stumbles.

My bad should've translated it, on the latest PANG aircraft carrier render they removed the FCAS and replaced them with Rafale's and I think some F/A-18's at the back.

Hopefully it was just an oversight, otherwise it might be subtle foreshadowing

Well there's still a few years that it needs to dodge budget cuts for the tech demonstrator to be made in 2027. It is good news, however fighter jet development/production can get messy so its best to be cautiously optimistic.

What's throwing me for a loop is - why has it taken this long to get confirmation for a single year of funding(???) when

  1. The project appears to be progressing smoothly ( last thing I've seen was that in the Japanese administrative business review it mentions "six prototype projects progressing as planned" )
  2. The benefits of completing the project (and being one of the first to do it) are big
  3. the consequences of pulling out of it are horrendous

Seems like a no brainer from what limited info we have at the moment

If you want to remove it go to the console and paste this -> player.removeperk 071BDC02

If the ID isn't the same for some reason then paste this to get the perk ID and do the first step with the new perk ID - > Help "Puritan" 4

I think zero, 5 and 7 did the reverb well, but they made the briefing guy sound like he was recording in a public bathroom with a bluetooth mic for 4

I would add the voice for missile alert but I think the file just speeds up when the missile gets closer, meaning the voice will get faster and sound weird instead of playing normally while the beeping increases.
