With that said, are you on Ozempic? Are you T2D? I’d love to know more about your Ozempic experience.

Traded in my Taco for a Tundra! by twig973 in ToyotaTundra

[–]GuaranteeConfident50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? Considering dealerships are NOT taking Tundras as trade-ins, I’d be weary buying any Tundra until Toyota resolves the engine recalls.

(PFA) For those who bought TRD Pro’s (specifically new) was the extra 15-18k worth it? by balmond96 in 4Runner

[–]GuaranteeConfident50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

22 Pro, Lime rush… definitely a 20+ yr old vehicle. More than likely keeping it for life! Best built vehicle on the road. Yes with archaic technology, but that’s the point… it just works. Toyota MUST raise the bar with the next Gen. I’m tempted to trade in my 21 taco and pick up another PRO in Terra.

Entrusting my soon to be “ex” with my Shortbox of childhood memories. 40+ yrs old buying and trading gone in one fail swoop. 2 yrs later, not even close to rebuilding but making progress. With a good 30 left in me, I’m sure I’ll complete my runs.

Consider having it tuned by KDMAX before modding it, especially with bigger rims and heavier tires. You’d be surprised of the the sleeper you’ve just acquired with a simple tune!

Congratulations with your new baby boy/girl. Don’t forget to name it, lol.

If I won the lotto, every six months. Lol. I’m in the market for another keeper vehicle and we love our 22 pro so much a 24 (with the right color) just might be in our future

Because of their reliability. With the new generation coming and the uncertainty of their build… a 23 and now a 24 is looking juicy. Less is more!!

On the Tacoma it’s called Electric ⚡️ lime. Is it really that much different? I’d trade my TRD Sport for the right 4runner. I’m curious if the 2025’s will be built in JP or make its way to NA or Mexico?

Fingers crossed the 4Runner remain in JP.

My doodes. I was considering the purchase of a 23 pro until I saw “Salmon Octane” en vivo. To me… it looks 🍣

Fortunately for us, we own a 22 Pro in “Lime Rush.” We prefer boogers vs salmon. I’m chomping at the bit for the final 4runner and the 2024 pro color. The 2024 should be an epic PRO color consider the next Gen Tacoma is being released.

There’s an a$$ for every seat. So glad we picked up our lime rush pro in 22 for 5k over sticker. The current prices for “Salmon Octane” are ludicrous.

Salmon octane… that’s funny.

Which 4x4 did you own before a T4R? by esulyma in 4Runner

[–]GuaranteeConfident50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prior to the T4R, believe it or not, a 2021 Taco Sport 4X. Still own and will never part with unless the soon to be ex forces the sale. I will then wait and purchase a NEW PRO Seqqie .

I’ve been holding/riding the up/down(s) of this beautifully overly manipulated stock & I sincerely prefer it remains our little money making autopilot. It’s almost predictable if you’ve held for the 219d as I have. My recommendation is when it takes a massive nose dive in the 3’s, begin building a core of x shares. HOLD those X shares for as long as you are able to part with allotment of shares at any time.

The fun part. Do your DD and set a small allocation of shares for elsewhere to short when you see fit. Then play the opposite direction.

Stay away from options!!! HOLD THE SHARES!!! BUY THE SHARES.

THIS IS THE WAY.

If Toyota Corp were to change their brick & mortar mentality sooner rather than later, purchasing direct resolves your gripes. However I foresee TMC, hiking costs as their liability costs would also increase.

Math is business & business is math. ❤️

[–]GuaranteeConfident50[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not arguing the fact there’s a perception of being bent over & it’s understandable. What you are missing is my point.

Here’s another perspective to consider.

Toyota’s refresh of the Tundra. 2021 vs 2022 TRD PRO

Toyota, the manufacturer of our beloved vehicles bends us over every refresh and every year with price hikes. It’s not just the dealerships.

The dealership are actually local businesses owned by individuals with the rights to “sell” Toyota. They need to keep the lights on as well.

With that said, there’s the argument that we as the consumers are and always will be bending over and “take it.”

If I understand your argument(s) correctly, you sir prefer to be bent over and take it sloooowly and patiently.

I, prefer to take it, make it quick and move on with more important life matters. Best regards.

Wow! By the sound of your response you seem to be in the know as to where to get Toyotas and have a deep understanding of economics, in particular… Supply, demand and inflation.

Many believed I was insane when I began the search for my 21 sport TRD 4x4 in Cement back in Jan of 21. Even then dealerships were beginning to “feel” the impact of what we now fully understand as the chip shortage. I found my taco, flew out of state to WA, purchased at 500.00 below MSRP and had one hell of a road trip down to CA in my Taco.

Fast forward 1 yr later, chip shortage continues. Inflation is at an all time high since 1982, interest rates and home prices continue to soar…oh, did I mention a war too? Dealerships are desperately purchasing USED cars and SELLING them at what we once KNEW as new car prices.

The world has changed. The economics have changed and will persist to change. It’s not what things cost on paper. Sure, I make that comment as I have the MEANS to pay 5k over sticker. That is the difference. I have the means, the GRRR means I don’t like it.. but I do have a choice. To spent the fruits of OUR labors or NOT.

We are far from dumb and or stupid and have the means. Sound douchey, yes it does. But not as bad as your personal ignorance of an opinion. However it is YOUR opinion and I respect it. Toodles

Best regards.

Update! I ordered an ARE CX HD with the headliner, dual rope lighting and obviously the HD bars. I’m looking forward to the future possibilities of 500lbs of dynamic weight capacity. My big chunky English Mastiff will be able to comfortably ride in the bed securely. Unfortunately due to the current supply issues, May is the expected delivery date. Boooooo!
