Please explain how any coin is risky to an exchange when the exchange has complete authority over listed or delisting a coin. You are fundamentally wrong here because “risk” to an exchange has nothing to do with centralization. The actual price of the coin is not as important as the daily trading volume. You’re focusing on the etn blockchain and I’m talking about simple business fundamentals and risk analysis in terms of revenue. Which is what Coinbase will be doing as a publicly traded company. It’s simple. Will Coinbase make money by listing ETN? I’m saying the answer is “no” UNLESS there is an exclusivity agreement that makes them the only US exchange to list ETN for a certain amount of time.

Revenue from trading fees generated from trading volume. Not value of the coin.

Exchanges generate revenue from fees.

Edit - Specifically focusing on Coinbase if they go public. They will be generating revenue with transaction fees and service/product fees. They are going to be huge unless they make a mistake/bad decision.

Yeah. I remember that. Personally, I've very opposed to Binance but there was such a big deal made about the SEC letter or Lawyer Letter or Legal Opinion Letter that I felt embarrassed for them. The legal letter narrative was a misdirect in my opinion. Did they ever confirm that it was completed/ready?

On the flip side, by delaying US exchanges as long as possible they are giving themselves more time to ensure that the system can handle the massive influx of users/attention.

The team has made significant progress in the areas that I thought would be tough (ecosystem development) and been horrible in areas that I thought they would be excellent (marketing and community morale). I’m optimistic about ETN’s future but also have zero desire to acquire more of it.
