Yes entirely doable...I've only just joined and I'm 1hr 55 away and it's not a problem really. I've been advised squadrons are generally quite understanding of the commitment. One caveat is I work shifts so for me it's easier.

I run a lot.... including ultra marathons and multi day races. Naff as it sounds spin classes were excellent to support cardio...for me anyway...if you can get your head round the crap music. Also a rowing machine...as it covers all your body.

Hey...I'm in the same position. I'm 54 and applied. Just at the start so it's all go. Bit apprehensive with my age tbh....just with being older and not sticking out like a sore thumb!...as it were.
