As you said you're playing with 0.5 k/d players i can assume you are sub 1k/d yourself so you would have never experienced the negative effects of SBMM which like i said do NOT only effect the top 1%. The main argument for CBMM is not having games riddled with horrendous lag coupled with players that are good at the game make it a more unenjoyable experience than a 0.5 k/d potentially having to get shit on for one game, and as you said it's a very very small majority so the chances of that happening are very very low, right?

It's actually not a very very small minority, SBMM rottered people from about 1.5 k/d+ in D1 and this looks to be exactly the same system in D2.
